If you'd asked either of us if we would have met our future spouse at our friend's 'USA' themed college party back in early September of 2016, we both would have laughed. But sometimes you find love after a couple drinks (sorry mom) and easy conversation with a stranger. Meeting at this party lead to our first date a few days later, and followed by so many after that.

Lachlan: Do you want to get brunch? Brooke: Okay but I only have $20 in my bank account right now so can I just bring half a loaf of bread to your apartment and we can have toast or something? After a truly 5 Michellien star rated toast and egg brunch, we decided to make our relationship official and started what would become the rest of forver.

Lachlan proposed after holding onto the ring for about 8 months (a running joke, and yes, Brooke knew about the ring almost the whole time). But the day was worth the wait for a cozy proposal at home. Lachlan brought out his guitar and handwritten lyrics to a song about the past 6 years of our lives together, and it was perfect.

The day we'll be vowing to be best friends forever in front of the people we love most. We can't wait to see you there.
