If you do nothing else in Glacier, try to stop by Apgar Beach on Lake McDonald to see the pier that inspired Brooke to get married in the Park. If you’re a fan of exploring, there are several hikes for all experience levels in Glacier National Park. If you’re not into hiking, we at least recommend driving along Going-to-the-Sun Road from west to east (if you have a reservation) or from east to west (no reservations required). This drive will take you through Logan’s Pass, which is a great place to stop, stretch your legs, and take in the views. You can also hike to Hidden Lake from this location. Whether traversing the park from west-to-east or from east-to-west, we recommend driving around the park on the south side at some point in your journey. However you decide to go, be sure to budget several hours for this trip, and pack some snacks!
