Are children invited to the wedding?
Answer
As much as we adore all of the sweet kiddos in our circle, our wedding is a child-free event. We hope you all can enjoy a night of dancing, laughing and minimal responsibilities!

Can I bring a guest?
Answer
We're very fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate with so many of our friends and family, although, for that reason, we ask that you only bring a guest if your invitation expressly says as much. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Will any transportation be provided?
Answer
Yes, a shuttle bus will pick up guests who are staying at the Omni Shoreham at 4:00 pm on Sunday October 6 and bring guests to Lincoln's Cottage. The shuttle will then transport guests from Lincoln's Cottage back to the Omni Shoreham at 10:00 (bus will begin loading at 9:50; ideal for those who do not plan to attend the after party). The shuttle bus will then return to Lincoln's Cottage and make several trips between Lincoln's Cottage and the Midlands Beer Garden, where the after-party is being held.

Can we tour President Lincoln's Cottage?
Answer
During the cocktail hour, you will have the opportunity to explore the first floor of President Lincoln's Cottage! Tour guide staff will be on site to take you to the second floor of Lincoln's Cottage, as well. Please do not go to the second floor without a tour guide

Will there be non-alcoholic options at the wedding?
Answer
Yes! We plan to provide more than just soda and water for those who do not wish to consume any alcohol. There will also be non-alcoholic options at the after-party.

Is there parking at a Lincoln's Cottage?
Answer
Yes, there is ample parking at President Lincoln's Cottage, however, you will not be permitted to leave your car there over night. We recommend that you utilize rideshare services such Uber or Lyft, which are a-plenty in Washington, DC, as well as the shuttle service provided.

What if I cannot walk very far?
Answer
There is a short walk from the parking lot/entrance to President's Lincoln's Cottage to the ceremony and then from the ceremony to the reception. If you are unable to walk, please let us know and and we will happily facilitate transportation.

Is the event open-bar?
Answer
Yes, alcohol will be provided at both the ceremony and reception, courtesy of Brooke and John. Specialty cocktails, white wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic beers will be available during the cocktail hour. Beer, liquor, wine, champagne and non-alcoholic beer and sodas will be available at the reception. Please be prepared to tip your bartenders. The After-Party at Midlands Beer Garden will not be open bar Please have fun, and please drink responsibly!
