FAQs

Helpful information for our guests!
Question

When should I RSVP by? How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website by October 1st, 2025! It is important for us to have our guest list and number finalized for our venue, our table arrangements, etc. We cannot guarantee a spot if you RVSP after the deadline date, so please RSVP earlier rather than later! You can RVSP via the website link we have provided to you on your invitation. If you are unable to RVSP this way, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony! The venue will open at 2:00 for guest arrival. Guests who arrive after the ceremony time will be asked to wait elsewhere until the ceremony is over.

Question

Note about the Reception

Answer

We would love for our guests to join us on the dance floor as much as possible! This is a reminder that the party will "level up" and the music will become lively by 8:00 PM. Our DJ will also try to announce this at the reception for anyone who wishes to say goodnight and head out before then.

Question

Can I bring a date or plus-one?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate whether you have the option of bringing a plus-one. If your RSVP does not have the option for a plus-one, please do not bring a date. We have limited capacity at our venue, and we need to be able to accommodate for all of our guests.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unless your invitation indicated that your child is welcome, no children are allowed. Again, please do not bring your child if they were not included on your invitation. Additionally, parents who are bringing their children to the ceremony are more than welcome to make arrangements for a sitter or childcare for the reception.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, there is a dress code. We kindly ask our guests to dress in semi-formal or cocktail attire. This is a special occasion, so we ask our guests and loved ones to take the chance to have fun and dress up! Please, no jeans or shorts, no t-shirts, and no predominantly white outfits. If you have any further questions about the dress code, please reach out to the maid of honor, Taryn Melvin.

Question

Is the ceremony unplugged?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony is unplugged, which means no phones, cameras, or other devices should be out during the ceremony. We want all of our loved ones to be present in the moment. Additionally, phones will block your face as well as others in the photographs we will have forever.

Question

Cocktail Hour and Reception Bar

Answer

Please note that our venue does not allow any outside alcohol on the premises. We will have an open bar for the cocktail hour and reception, and there will also be signature cocktails for our guests to enjoy! Again, please do not bring any outside alcohol as it is against the venue’s policies.

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, you can indicate whether you have a food allergy when you RSVP. We will have a vegetarian and gluten-free option for dinner. If you need any further accommodations, please reach out to Brooke Melvin or Jeffrey Austin.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking at the venue. Street parking is limited, but The Cannery has special permission from the city for us to use the parking lot across the street (at the courthouse).

Question

What if my question wasn’t answered?

Answer

If your question was not answered by the FAQs or another section on our website, please reach out to Brooke Melvin or Jeffrey Austin.
