Brooke and Fletcher first met at Abilene Christian University. Brooke was a year ahead, and during Fletcher’s initiation into Sub T-16 fraternity in the fall of 2022, he was assigned as her “Compliment Gob.” For several weeks, he sent her early morning notes filled with humor and creativity—something Brooke always claimed no one else compared to since. Over the years, they shared the same close group of friends and remained acquaintances. Just before Brooke graduated in the spring of 2024, they ended up on the same Spring Break trip to Florida and reconnected. The day they got back to Abilene, Fletcher wasted no time and asked Brooke out, and from that evening on, their story officially began! On July 26, 2025, Fletcher surprised Brooke with a proposal that captured everything Brooke could have hoped for. Soon after, he moved to Waco to begin law school at Baylor, while Brooke stayed in Abilene to open a second branch of her marketing agency—with plans to move to Waco next year. For now, they’re navigating a short season of long-distance, looking forward to the day they’ll finally be in the same city to start their life together!
