It all began in the great wide world of American University. He talked too much but clearly managed to say the right thing. She was quick on her feet and made sure he knew it. A couple of chance meetings - at a friend's party, on the quad amidst a student government petition signing, and even in the (digital) world of Draw Something led to someone making the first move. Who exactly? We’ll leave that one to the history books. (It was her). Finals season set things in motion in a more meaningful way, and he finally worked up the courage to buy flowers (and froyo), find an empty quad, and lead her there (cryptically, of course) before dropping the always reliable “Will you be my girlfriend?” Fast forward 13 lucky years across 6 formals, meeting the family, a pinning, graduation, first jobs, a joint apartment, countless birthdays, finding a Dempsey, a very apropos engagement, celebrating with friends old and new, exploring & choosing a new City, and building a home — all the while finding excitement, solace, comfort, growth, magic, friendship, and love in each and every day we spend together. This story may have a couple of chapters, but we can’t wait to celebrate this next one with all of our favorite people who have been there along the way. SEE YOU ON THE BIG DAY.
