Yes! The Holiday Inn Express where we have a link set up in the travel section of the website. But guests are welcome to find a hotel that fits whatever their budget maybe! There are also many Airbnb's, camp grounds, and other lodging options that guest can explore.
Absolutely. The Headlands International Dark Sky Park offers ample free parking for all guests, along with convenient handicap-accessible spaces near the event center. The venue is only about 9 minutes from our hotel block, so getting to and from the celebration is simple and stress-free.
The ceremony will take place in an amphitheater-style setting. Chairs will be provided for approximately 60 guests in the front seating area. There is also additional space available behind and above the main seating area, and guests are welcome to bring a blanket if they prefer to sit on the grass.
Our wedding celebration will be held at the Headlands International Dark Sky Park — a place where the night sky truly comes alive. While we must conclude our festivities inside the event center by 10:00 p.m. in accordance with park regulations, we warmly invite you to stay and join us afterward for a peaceful evening of stargazing beneath the vast, star-filled sky. Bring a blanket, find a cozy spot, and enjoy the beauty that drew us to this special place. To help preserve everyone’s night vision and keep the stars shining bright, please remember that only red light is allowed after dark — no white lights or phone flashlights, please.
The paragraph below comes straight from their website. There will be a link provided if anyone would like to check it out for themselves. "The grounds, trails, and viewing areas at the Headlands are open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Visitors are welcome to stay out through the night for dark-sky viewing opportunities, but camping is not permitted. The Headlands is not intended as an overnight sleeping destination but instead is designated as a place to stay awake and view the stars. You may bring blankets, chairs, food, beverages, etc. When packing, keep in mind that temperatures are typically 10 degrees lower than expected due to our proximity to the lake shore. As a courtesy to others, we do not permit white lights (flashlights or cell phones) in the designated viewing area. Red-filtered flashlights are permitted and are sold on-site." No worries if you do not have a red flashlight to walk back to your vehicle with. The park grounds have red light posts lighting all the walking paths to and from the parking lots. https://emmetcounty.org/experiences/headlands/index.php
