Travel Note
UPDATE 8/7/21- Italy is now implementing the green pass across the country. This means that to access indoor public venues (Museums, Bars, Indoor Events, etc), guests will either need to be vaccinated, have proof of recovery from COVID, or have a negative test within 48 hours. More information for US vaccines will come soon but we are assuming that a vaccine administered in the US will be valid for acquiring a green pass. For unvaccinated guests you will need to have a negative COVID test prior to the wedding. Most restaurants have relocated to outdoor seating and the green pass is not required for hotels so depending on your planned activities, you may not need many tests to enjoy travels in Italy. Our wedding planner will arrange tests on Sunday for unvaccinated guests. If you would like for her to schedule a test for you, please let on of us know as soon as you can. Tests are readily available at local pharmacies for around $23 but do need to be scheduled in advance.
Travel Note
It's recommended that guests book a stay in Rome on Saturday, September 25th to recover from jet lag and explore sites. The wedding party will leave Rome on Sunday, September 26th to travel to the wedding venue.
Travel Note
The drive from Rome to Borgo Sant'Ambrogio is about 3 hours. Since many guests will be traveling after the wedding and will rent cars, no shuttle will be arranged for travel to the venue. If you will not be renting a car or traveling with someone who is, please let us know so that we can arrange a ride for you to the venue. UPDATE 7/1/21: Drivers in Italy will need an International Driver's Permit. You can go to the American Automobile Touring Alliance website to apply www.aataidp.com
House Or Rental
We have rented out the entire borgo ( 11 double rooms) and it is now full. There are many amazing B&Bs nearby in Pienza or Airbnbs nearby. See FAQs for recommended locations.
