Kris and Brooke met through Kris' now-husband David in 2016. They hit it off immediately and became close from then on. They even lived together until Kris got married in 2018. Kris is one of the strongest and most determined people you will ever meet. If you have her in your corner, you always have someone to fight for you through the good and the bad. She knows how to speak her mind and attack everything with clear goals and a level head. She will call you out on your bs and help set you straight and everyone needs a friend like that. Kris is now a mom to a sweet little girl and is an event coordinator in the Charlotte area where she lives with her husband, and good friend of Brooke and Mason, David.
Jon Merideth
Best Man
Jon and Mason met through a very exclusive college male social club at The University of Tennessee. Mason had the pleasure of driving Jon around on some freshman pledge duties and shared a nice meal of Dorito locos tacos that cemented their friendship for life. With an infinite list of shared interests, it's easy to see how the two managed to stay close as Jon and his wife Kayla traveled out West for their next chapter in life. It has always given the advantage of planning west coast vacations and our first and last trip to Miami. Jon currently resides in Sunny California with his lovely wife Kayla. We are very lucky to have friends like them champion us on our big day.
Lu Wooten

Brooke and Lu met when Brooke first moved to Charlotte in 2015. The two share a special bond over their mutual love for Beyonce and Kacey Musgraves and late-night online shopping. But beyond all that, Lu has been a steady, supportive and loyal friend. Lu has an uncanny ability to get to the thing you actually want to say even when you're not quite sure yourself. She's confident, articulate, and will champion you through anything. Lu works at Elevation Church and lives in Charlotte with her husband Shae.
Hunt MaGee

Hunt and Mason met through mutual friends in college while Hunt was visiting Knoxville during his Spring Break. Trying to distract Hunt from studying for his upcoming Dental School Exam, Mason forced Hunt to watch the entire first season of Portlandia back in 2010/11 and that was enough for them to immediately become friends. They continued to stay in touch with routine visits to Memphis & Charlotte to watch mediocre NBA games and eat overly filling BBQ in their respective cities while fitting in 2 European vacations with Hunt playing travel agent for the different groups. Hunt lives in beautiful Jackson, TN with his amazing wife Rebecca.
Ashlyn Greer

Brooke and Ashlyn can't remember the exact day they met, but it was probably through her husband Sage who was in the first worship band Brooke played with in Charlotte! Ashlyn is one of the most stylish people you'll ever meet and she has an authentic grace and joy that is infectious. She's able to find the beauty in everything and consistently reminds Brooke of what setting a goal and going after it can do for someone who isn't naturally goal oriented **cough cough** Ashlyn works at Elevation Church and lives in Charlotte with her husband Sage.

Married to Mason's Sister, Adam has been the best of the best when it comes to being an amazing Brother-in-Law. Always a positive influence in life & great mentor Adam is someone who has always help grow people to their best self. He is someone who shows interest in the people he meets and can guide you through every city in the world by only looking at a map once, maybe twice. He's a genuinely great human who currently lives in DC with Mason's Sister, Marissa...& their adorable son Alex Thomas.
Melissa Ward

Melissa and Brooke met when Melissa started working at Elevation. Melissa has more creative energy pent up inside her little finger than most people have in their entire head. She has a beautiful way with words and an uncanny ability to say exactly what you need to hear. She's courageous and resilient and compassionate all rolled into one. A true heart of gold. Melissa works at Elevation Church and lives in Charlotte.
Brandon Berry

Brandon & Mason have been able to stand side by side through every chapter of life together. After Brandon hit the half-court shot to still lose the Eagle League Championship by 1 point to Mason's team, they decided to become friends for life. While going to different colleges, they still maintained a close friendship as Mason did a summer abroad in Chapel Hill, NC to learn elementary level Spanish while Brandon was studying in the same country. They continue to work in the same office building at this current stage of life.
Erica Serrano

Erica and Brooke met when Brooke moved to Charlotte, but the biggest plot twist of it all, was that Erica grew up with Mason! Without Erica, this wedding probably wouldn't be happening. Erica is the true embodiment of the Enneagram 2 (the helper) she loves hard and has so much passion for everything she does. She truly gets to know you and asks the types of questions you probably wouldn't even think to ask yourself. She's always willing to go out of her way to help people and make them feel known. Erica is a wedding and lifestyle photographer living in Charlotte.
Doug Mathis

Another fellow UT comrade, Mason & Doug met through a mutual friend during 2009. They immediately became friends and later roommates during Mason's final year at UT. Doug is the kind of guy you can depend on for everything and anything. If anyone needs a driver to cruise you through the Great Smokey Mtns while watching Garth Brooks Live in Central Park on a drop-down DVD player, he is your guy. Doug currently lives in Memphis, TN and spends his time waiting for Tennessee Football to return to their late 90s glory days.
Grace Johnson

Brooke and Grace met at Grace's wedding! Mason was a groomsman in John's wedding and brought Brooke as his date and when her and Grace met it felt like they'd known each other for so much longer than a few hours. They got especially close when they traveled cross country together in 2019. Grace is the life of the party and has a compassionate and understanding heart. She can quickly offer advice and words of wisdom that may be opposite of what you want to hear but what you need to hear. Grace works for Pandora Jewelry and lives with her husband John (also a groomsman!) in Baltimore.
John Johnson

John is always goofing and providing tons of laughs with his warm and welcoming personality. He and Mason met growing up in Wilkesboro, NC, living 3 whole minutes away from each other. Tennis teammates, they were able to form many bounds throughout the journeys of high school. They stayed close through the different stages of life and continued to lean on one another as they both lived in Charlotte. Now residing in Baltimore, MD with his wife Grace (if you look to the left you can see her), they still make every effort to spend time together. The two of them have been huge supporters of this relationship and their wedding will always be a great moment in our lives.
