What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 1.15pm to be seated by 1.30pm. Please enjoy tea and coffee upon arrival and live music from our harpist.

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Wednesday 13 May 2026. Our venue requires final numbers by this date; we cannot make exceptions for late RSVPs.

Will the entire day be held at Queen's University, Belfast?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be in the Canada Room, the arrival drinks will be in the Quad, and the dinner will be in the Great Hall.

Where is the Canada Room?

Answer

The Canada Room is located on the first-floor of the Lanyon Building (main University building) and is accessed via a staircase just inside the main University doors to the left. Look out for our welcome sign.

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at the McClay library (please tell security you are attending a wedding). Alternatively, the Lanyon Building is a 10 minute walk from Botanic Train Station and less than a mile from the Europa Bus Station.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and dinner will be indoors. However, arrival drinks will be outside in the grassy Quad (weather dependent). We recommend a jacket to keep warm.

Cocktail/ Garden party attire.

Can I bring a plus one?

Please do not bring a plus one, unless explicitly indicated on your invitation.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have chosen to have an adults-only reception, with the exception of our nieces and nephews in the wedding party.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an 'unplugged' ceremony-so please no phones/pictures/videos during the ceremony. After the ceremony we encourage photos and videos.
