The chapel where we are getting married has limited seating, so the actual ceremony will be the wedding party + immediate family only. Your RSVP will let you know if you are invited to the ceremony. If you are not, we look forward to meeting you at the Perry at 5pm!
Yes! A shuttle will be available for guests staying at the Perry Hotel. It will depart at 3:00 PM to take guests to the ceremony and return to the Perry around 4:30 PM for the reception.
The wedding is 'Cocktail Attire' so suits and cocktail dresses are appropriate. Welcome drinks will be at the Bay View-Petoskey Country Club and the attire is smart casual (no jeans). Michigan summers can be a little unpredictable but you can expect warm temperatures during the day and slightly chilly temperatures in the evening, so we would suggest a light jacket or wrap.
While we adore children, we have chosen to have a kid-free ceremony and reception aside from our ring bearer and flower girl.
Unfortunately, there are no Ubers. And unless you are staying at the Perry, we strongly recommend renting a car, as the other hotels are a mile to three miles away from the reception.
We would recommend walking to Roast and Toast in the morning for coffee and brunch and then walking out through the Petoskey Bayfront Park to the lightouse. Then, explore downtown Petoskey, making sure to check out American Spoon for delightful jams, granolas, and nut butters, as well as McLean & Eakin bookstore for a new read. For lunch, you must try Julienne Tomatoes (Gotta Try This sandwich is the move). After lunch, you can go to the beach at Petoskey State Park or check out one of the fun wineries in the area (we recommend Gabriel Farms). Finally, end your day at the Backlot Beer Garden in Petoskey, which has a wide variety of quality food trucks, great beers on tap and the best of vibes.
