Our hotel block is located in Black Hawk, while our Welcome Event on Friday evening will be held in nearby Central City. A complimentary public shuttle operates between Black Hawk and Central City daily, with service approximately every 20-30 minutes, making it easy to travel between the two towns. For the wedding day, private shuttle transportation will be provided between Monarch Hotel and Evergreen Lake House for guests who choose to utilize the wedding shuttle. Pickup and drop-off location will be just outside the main hotel entrance. Shuttles will depart the Monarch Hotel promptly at 3:15PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive a few minutes early. Following the reception, return shuttles will be available back to the Monarch Hotel, including an early departure shuttle at 9:00PM for guests who wish to head back before the end of the evening. If you choose to drive to the wedding, limited parking is available. To ensure a smooth arrival experience, we recommend utilizing the complimentary wedding shuttle transportation if possible.
Friday Welcome Event - Attire is Mountain Chic. Think elevated yet relaxed mountain style - cocktail dresses, midi dresses, dressy separates, boots, sport coats, button-downs, and slacks are all great options. Saturday Wedding - Attire is Formal. We invite guests to wear formal attire suitable for a mountain wedding. Dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, sport coats, dress shirts, and slacks are all welcome.
Late October in Colorado can bring a little bit of everything! While daytime temperatures are often mild and sunny, mornings and evenings can be quite chilly. We recommend dressing in layers and bringing a jacket or wrap for the outdoor ceremony and evening festivities. Our ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to take place outdoors overlooking the lake, weather permitting. Dinner and reception will be held indoors.
