Our meeting story is similar to most people who met during covid, online from the comfort of our own homes. Boring! The fun story is the day we got engaged, and how Kennedy tried with all her might (unknowingly) to stay on the market. Ashley (Kennedy's bridesmaid) was coming over to the island to do a maternity shoot with Kennedy. I let Ashley know the week before that I planned to propose and was hoping she could capture the moment. The plan was to do some individual photos first, and then some couple photos where I would pop the question. It was flawless except for one oversight, Kennedy didn't think I needed to be there! After a lot of texts back and forth with Kennedy telling Ashley I didn't need to be there, and me trying to play it cool, and Ashley almost begging for me to be involved...Kennedy finally agreed I could be in 'a couple of photos'. Fast forward to the big day, we are on the beach and I start my speech. Kennedy starts laughing thinking I am trying to make her smile more natural for the camera! Finally she turned around and saw I was down on one knee and this was in fact *not* a joke. I then spoke the easiest four words I have ever had to say to her and she said yes. So everyone please thank Ashley at the wedding because without her I don't know if we would be here! We can't wait to see everyone in July and hope you can all make it!
