The future bride and groom are jumping the broom!

On February 9th, 2019, both Laura and Broderick decided to step out for special occasions. Broderick was out celebrating his birthday and Laura was celebrating taking her NCLEX nursing state board exam. The future soulmates met at a nightclub in downtown Riverside, CA. Laura’s best friend, Catrina, was insistent upon these two dancing together which created a spark that turned into an everlasting flame. Although Lo & B shared mutual friends, attended the same church (at different times), and lived near each other, they never crossed paths until that night in downtown Riverside. The couple believes this was due to God’s timing. Lolo had even participated in a “Pray For Your Future Spouse” challenge the previous year. Laura and Broderick started officially dating two weeks after meeting. They have endured the struggles of long distance, moving to new places, starting new jobs, and beginning grad school; but throughout all of this, they continue to grow individually as well as together. Eventually, both their paths led them to reside in Los Angeles, CA where Laura works as a Registered Nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Broderick is pursuing his graduate degree in African American studies at UCLA. Broderick proposed to Laura on July 25th, 2020 and almost exactly one year later, these lovebirds will exchange “I do’s” and begin a new chapter as One.
