Ceremony

A Catholic wedding ceremony is about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and has with it the celebration of a Catholic Mass. “Mass” comes from a Latin phrase meaning “go forth”, because Catholics come to Mass to be filled with God's graces and then are sent into the world to bear witness to Christ and His church. The earliest order of the Mass was recorded in 155 AD by St. Justin Martyr, demonstrating how the early christian church worshiped. The Mass takes us through the life of Christ, from hearing God’s inspired word in Holy Scripture to obeying Jesus’ commandment at the Last Supper to “do this in remembrance of me”, which is carried out in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. There are more than 100 verses from Sacred Scripture recited at every Mass. We encourage you to fully participate to the extent you are comfortable with. Thank you for being here to witness and celebrate this Sacrament with us in the Holy Mass!
