The Wedding Website of Rebecca Schmaeling and Brock Walsh
The first year we moved to New England, we went to Newport for Valentine's Day. We were so in love with Newport's charm, that we've gone back every year for Valentine's Day since then (and many other times in between!) We are so excited to share our love of Newport with our friends and family! We know that Rhode Island is a bit of a journey for many, but we hope it will be worth it! If you are able to, we strongly suggest spending the weekend in Newport. Here are some of our favorite things to eat, drink, see and do!
Cliff Walk

Cliff Walk

Cliff Walk, Newport, RI 02840

This is one of the best ways to see Newport and it's free! Highly recommend!

Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co.

Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co.

293 Connell Highway, Newport, RI 02840
, (401) 849-5232

One of our favorite things to do when we're in Newport!

Newport Mansions

Newport Mansions

Varies,

There are lots of mansions to tour, but the 4 most popular are The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms, and Rosecliff

Newport Vineyards

Newport Vineyards

909 East Main Road, Middletown, RI 02842
, (401) 848-5161

A large variety of wines, plus a restaurant and brewery! We go to the Newport Vineyards for their Wine-terfest every year!

Diego's

Diego's

11 Bowens Wharf, Newport, RI 02840
, (401) 619-2640

Really good food and even better margaritas. The blood orange margarita is Rebecca's favorite.

Thames Street

Thames Street

Thames Street, Newport, RI 02840

One of our favorite things to do in Newport is to walk on Thames St. It's essentially Newport's Main St. and has lots of cute shops and restaurants.

Coffee Grinder

Coffee Grinder

33 Bannister's Wharf, Newport, RI 02840
, (401) 847-9307

Walk down Bannister's Wharf to get to this tiny coffee shop right on the water. The coffee is a little pricey, but it's worth it to sit on one of their Adirondack chairs and watch the mega-yachts go by.

Fort Adams State Park

Fort Adams State Park

Fort Adams State Park, Newport, RI 02840

Fort Adams is America's largest coastal fortress and is really cool to visit. You also get a gorgeous view of Newport Harbor.

For all the days along the way
