It all started almost 5 years ago in the summer of 2016. A girl named Anna got a job on a food truck working for a guy named Brock. Brock was in the midst of his first summer running a food truck with all sorts of problems. Meanwhile Anna was starting a new job and her mom was batteling cancer. They may have had a rocky start but Anna made sure to make a great, lasting impression making it impossible for Brock to forget. After nearly 2 years Anna and Brock had finished working together and were finally on the cusp of a relationship… Unfortunately, life had other plans as death came knocking on his door step. The day that Brock had planned to ask Anna to be his girlfriend he instead took a trip to the ER after a terrible rock-climbing accident. Anna, already on her way to town to go out on a date with Brock, found herself rushing to the ER instead. With Brock incoherent Anna would have to wait 2 more weeks before a relationship could begin. After Brock had regained his consciousness it was finally time for Brock and Anna to start their adventure. After a year had gone by Brock and Anna found themselves madly in love and preparing for a trip on the John Muir Trail. This snow covered trail would prove to change their lives forever. Anna and Brock set off out of the beautiful Yosemite National Park with excitement and fear. With every step closer to the high Sierras, they found themselves deeper and deeper in snow. This snow would not let up and after 10 days in the snow they found themselves hiking out. With spirits low from ending early and exiting on an unused trail they knew nothing about, Brock had a trick up his sleeve he hoped would help. Atop a small oasis of sand surrounded by uninhabitable mountains covered in snow and frozen lakes, Brock got down on one knee and Anna happily said yes.
