John and Brie met the modern way: By swiping right on Bumble (much better than Tinder, am I right?!) in July 2022. They still laugh about how Brie thought John didn't have a car and had to Uber to their first date, but Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome was worth it. Five months later on New Years' Eve, they said "I love you" for the first time and soon started spending nearly every day together. Over the next two years, the couple found their rhythm in daily life and visiting family and friends in Colorado, Oregon, and even Ireland. Between the daily monotony of going to the gym, walking the dogs, and arguing with the cat, the two also found time for travel, adventures, and so much laughter! On October 5, 2024, Brie, John, and Peyton were enjoying a cabin in Hocking Hills for the weekend to celebrate John's "29th" Birthday. ;) They decided to watch the sunset on their private dock on the pond that their cabin sat on and before Brie knew it, John was down on one knee asking her to spend forever with him! Between the happy tears, Brie couldn't think to answer anything but "OF COURSE!!" They couldn't be more thrilled for this next chapter in life to begin! The couple are so incredibly excited to celebrate their love with friends and family on September 20, 2025 in Columbus, OH.
