I’m L’Toya, Britt’s Sister Cousin/Godsister/Former College Roommate/Matron of Honor. I have known Brittny all of her life. She was one of my first real life baby dolls. I would say one of my favorite childhood memories with Britt was how she carried her baby doll “Brett” around with us all the time until she was about 8. Brittny slept with “Brett” every night and he never had on clothes and had a lazy eye. Of all the toys and dolls she has (and she had tons to fill a toy store), “Brett” was the most special doll she had. He was a part of the family and was definitely a comfort item for her, he traveled with us everywhere, family trips, restaurants, & when we played outside. I wouldn’t be surprised if “Brett” popped up at the wedding. Britt is both my sister cousin & my friend. Over the years my husband and I have enjoyed seeing Brittny grow into the phenomenal woman she is. We have so many memories: Karaoke, Game Nights, and mocking her by singing to her when she was frustrated about having to adult. One special fav. memory, she turned our house into a mobile art gallery. Britt is a treasured person in our life, she’s the godmother to our daughter & cool cousin/aunt to our son. Britt loves hard, I’m so glad that she has found love in Jerrod, he makes her balance & and makes her smile. His love is genuine and true, so happy for you all!

Hey yallll ! It’s Tara! One of Britt’s fav sistah cousins! (Matron of Honor) Brittny and I been tight since building forts with the sofas on Baronne Street. Technically, since i was born but yea.. anyways! The best way to describe our relationship is LAUGHTER. If we don’t do nothing we goin crack a joke, and we goin be sarcastic with each other, and then laugh some MORE. One thing Brittny goin TRY to do is out-SING me. Try again siss. Moving along, I’m so happy Britt has found the love of her life, Jerrod. We welcome you with open arms to the family. 😊

Hello everyone! I am the Best Man and Cousin of the Groom. What to say about my cuz? I can say the man has fight, responsibility and love in him. Like the time he was fighting this little white kid for air in the wave pool at Hurricane Harbor. Or being responsible for some of the whoopings we got. And his love for getting in trouble with me. While I couldn’t always be there I enjoyed seeing him grow from child into man.

Alexandria Copeland (Alex) Hey Everyone! My name is Alexandria Copeland, but everyone calls me Alex. I currently work full time in the Parks and Recreation industry running the Recreation and Fitness departments at a facility and a full time college student getting my Masters in Business Administration. In my free time, I like to chill, go out with my friends, and play Fortnite. I am Brittny’s cousin and a maid of honor in the wedding. We love that we are welcoming Jerrod into the family. Brit would speak all the time about wanting to marry Jerrod and I remember when he was getting ready to propose he texted me for advice and already had a plan set out. His only thing was Brit was waiting on it and knew the proposal could probably happen any day now. She had asked what they were doing that day and he told her… he had a surprise… I remember when he called and told me he told her that… we just busted out laughing because we both knew that it wasn’t the smoothest excuse out of anything he could’ve said and if anyone knows Brit, she is very nosey and we thought at this point she probably figured it out. I even called her to talk about every random thing I could think of just to throw her off, but my boy Jerrod was able to pull off the most perfect proposal. I can’t wait to see everyone at the wedding and stand by my favorite people as they get married.

So this is the story on how Brittny quickly became one of my “favorite friends” ! We met one time years and years ago through a mutual friend. We only kept in touch by following each other on social media. One day, seemingly randomly, she invited me to her birthday party, and I was like “absolutely” ! And we have been thick as thieves ever since ! We have so much in common to where we joke that we are literally the same person! I am beyond honored to be a maid of honor for someone so near and dear to my heart. I am elated to be a part of this beautiful moment in time!

I am Ashley Burrough the sister of the Groom. I first met Jerrod back in 1989 when my Mother brought him home from the hospital. A funny moment I recall with Jerrod is, one Hot summer day in Texas with all the cousins, Aunts and Uncles we all went to Hurricane Harbor water park. While enjoying the cool waters Jerrod and Tra’vell decided to get in the wave pool. At this point the waves had died down and the water was still. So they go all the way to the end of the pool where the waves would start up. The water park rings a bell, that means the waves would start back up. Well Jerrod and Tra’vell got caught up in the waves. The Lifeguards noticed that these two kids were drowning and quickly took action. The water park had to stop the waves and clear all the people out the pool to rescue them. Some of us were in line for the water slide and we look down and seen all these people leaving the wave pool. So we’re all asking what happened? Then we got word that two little boys were drowning and they had to jump in and rescue them. Not knowing the whole time that the two little boys were my Mother and Aunt kids!😂. Jerrod and Tra’vell survived and are doing great in life!🙂

My name is Rene’ Jr. Brittny is my first cousin/former roommate and one of my first friends. She is a year older than me, but I’m still her “big cousin.” One of the things that I appreciate most about Brittny is that she loves her family. I remember when we used to live together, I would get home late from working and Britt would always have a hot home cooked meal prepared. It’s like she knew I was hungry (Lol). She really helped me to grow up, for real though. Britt was the first person I lived with outside of my parents. She taught me how to pay bills and always had our apartment neat and smelling good. I’m glad she’s marrying Jerrod, he’s chill and laid back just like me, but most importantly he is a fan of the Number #1 football team, the Dallas Cowboys of course. Looking forward to turning up on y’all special day.

She’s always happy & brings nothing but joy. I just love her energy and she is like a big sister I never had. I don’t have a favorite memory but every moment is a memory with her & i am so excited for her & Jerrod. I’ve been waiting for this moment to come. Next, I will be waiting for a little bundle of joy! Hey Guys! My name is Grant and I’m the one of the groomsman at Jerrod and Brittny’s Wedding. I’m Brittny’s Cousin. I work as a Rehab Specialist at a physical therapy clinic, studying for my MCAT and applying to medical school. From going to concerts, getting stuck on roller coasters, to just having a regular game night with friends. Brittny has always been very loving, supportive and always down for a good time. I’m very excited to see her continue with this amazing new journey with Jerrod.
