The temperature will vary. Usually, it is warm in late September. During the day about mid-80s, but it could be a bit cooler. Regardless, New Orleans is a very humid city. UBER/LYFT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! There will be limited parking along the streets of the gated residential area for those that are driving. The ceremony and reception are at the same venue.
Wedding begins promptly at 2:00pm with reception to immediately follow until 6:00pm. Doors to the venue will open at 1:15pm, no earlier. Guests will have a 45 minute window to be seated for a prompt wedding start time of 2:00pm. Guests that arrive after 2:00pm will be asked to wait outside of the gate until the wedding procession is complete. There will be no exceptions and security will be on site.
There are absolutely NO plus ones welcome. Guest names that were not placed on the save-the-dates are not permitted to the wedding. This includes children. No substitutions or exceptions will be made, IDs will be required. Security will be on site to escort any guest not on the official guest list off the premises.
We request that guest dress in semi-formal attire. The wedding and reception are outdoors, with a garden-them. We ask that guests wear fall or neutral colors: beige, nude, brown, green, copper, orange, blush, gold. These are all fall colors. We ask that Black is NOT worn to the wedding and reception. Linen wear is acceptable. Please dress comfortably with comfortable shoes. Guests will walk along a grass yard to their seats and during the reception. Please note that the temperature will vary with the transition of seasons. I highly advise checking the weather before traveling to town and before arriving to the wedding. We will provide more information about weather closer to the wedding date.
A shuttle will pickup and drop-off guests from two different locations. A guest list will be provided to the driver. 1st Pickup: 1:00pm at Hyatt Place New Orleans/Convention Center (Official hotel for wedding block) 2nd Pickup: Time will be provided closer to the wedding date. Kids whose names were placed on the save-the-date/wedding invitation are welcome. No extra kids, children or teens are welcome.
The official Brousseau/Burrough group block is the Hyatt Place New Orleans/Convention Center hotel. Please view the Travel page on this wedding website for all information and a link to take you directly to the hotel block. We have compiled a list of three other hotel options close to the venue based on proximity to New Orleans and the wedding venue, ease of access to the highway for guests that are driving from other destinations, price and safety. Please feel free to make hotel accommodations in the city of New Orleans / French Quarter to as far as the New Orleans International Airport in Kenner / Metairie, as everything within and outside of New Orleans is no more than a 20-25 min drive. 1. Special requests will not be made. It is suggested that guests speak with the on-site caterer to confirm if the ingredients that you are allergic to are or are not in the items that you see and choose to eat. There will be limited vegetarian/vegan options provided.
