Brittney and Cody met during high school gym class. A class favorite was a game called speedball, which sparked a good friendship and some jealousy. One day Brittney showed up to class with a broken finger and wasn't able to catch the ball. Cody completely forgot and accidentally threw it too her anyway. They had a good laugh and their friendship grew stronger from then on. After a couple months of becoming best friends almost instantly, Brittney and Cody went on their fist date, to a carnival. Brittney acted scared on one of the rides so Cody tried to hold her hand and make her feel better. They had a good night of rides, playing games and winning prizes and the rest is history.
On our annual black Friday trip to Philly to see the dancing waters light show and Dicken's village, Cody knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to propose with Brittney's whole family there. As we walk through the line to get into the village, a family photo is taken. Cody decided to have one more photo of just the two of them. As the camera flashed, Cody was down on one knee. After going over the perfect words in his head and talking to my family members the whole time in line, he was so choked up. The only words he got out was "Will you marry me." Brittney cried hysterically and could not believe it was happening, but shook her head yes and wrapped her arms around him. Everyone, even strangers in line, cheered with excitement. They were FINALLY engaged! We are excited to spend one of the happiest days of our lives and start a new chapter with everyone.
