They are located within walking distance of each other. They both are all inclusive and include entertainment. Find more details on their site. Pricing can very depending on the site. Margaritaville website could and will be higher then Priceline or Travelocity. If you book through Priceline they have a free cancellation until April 23rd 2024. If you are thinking you maybe joining us, I would book your room sooner then later to get the savings. Priceline is selling a king room for around $350 per night for two people staying Thursday to Monday as of 12/15/23 this rate could go up.) SHOULD YOU NEED ANY HELP AT ALL BOOKING YOUR ROOMS OR WANT TO CHECK WITH ME TO SEE IF I CAN SAVE YOU A LITTLE MORE PLEASE SEND ME A TEXT! 802-779-1470 When booking, please inform a Krisma (Margaritaville) representative that you are there for the BLAKE-CURAVOO wedding!! If booking third-party i.e Priceline etc. make sure you contact the resort to let them know that you are there for the Blake-Curavoo wedding.

Travel Note

Resort & Dining

* The hotel is an all-inclusive resort. Meaning everything is included except for: one restaurant, A lam Bik, souvenirs & gifts, excursions & Spa. (PRO-TIP: Make sure you pack all toiletry related items, i.e Sunblock, Mouthwash etc. Prices for such items are astronomical at the resort) * The resort gives you points when you check in to use at Joe Merchants to stock your mini bar. It seems like a lot of points, however, for example, beer is 400-500 points for each one. Points can go fast! Good news is there is one bar at each of the pools, wait staff, a full Brewery, Compass Bar in the Wave Lobby and the main bar located at the center known as Punch Bar! Your Mini Bar is stocked daily with bottled waters! * There is only one full breakfast option, The Buffet and a great cafe in Joe Merchants. Lunch time there are three options, if it’s raining only two. These options close at 5pm when the other restaurants open for dinner however the buffet closes at 4 pm. (PRO TIP: Must try a cheeseburger at ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise’ located at the Wave section of the hotel next to the beach! SIDE NOTE: Rum Runners, another lunch option is a authentic Caribbean menu) You also get complimentary 24 hour room service with a limited menu. * The buffet is massive!! It can be overwhelming! There are food stations around the Buffet. Grab a bowl fill with ingredients and they will cook it right up fresh for you. If you’re staying longer, the dinner restaurants are great. However, Friday and Saturday night we have your dinner plans reserved. Please see the weekend schedule for more details about that.

Travel Note

Pools & Beach

* The pools and pool bars close at 6 pm. If you have a swim up room, you can use that pool whenever. * The beach is beautiful. The sand is soft in places and shelly in others. Cap Cana, gated and gorgeous as it is, is all coral and reefs. With that the beach is rocky and access may be difficult for some. We highly recommend bringing water shoes. Snorkeling gear is available and can be checked out of the resort lobby. Seaweed is something that is a bit imprudent during their winter months. It shouldn’t be too bad or have much at all, if any, by the end of April. PRO TIP: There are multiple pools. Wave has three with a great little tykes splash pad with their own mini loungers and your just a quick walk to Hammock the adult side (children under the age of 18 are prohibited) with a large pool and sun shelf’s. (SIDE NOTE: The hot tubs are not true hot tubs like we are use to in the NE.) * Both pools have a bar with swim up access and water swings. Bathrooms are not too far away from either pool. This is where we spent most of our time during our site visit.

Travel Note

Punta Cana Airport Transportation

It is recommended to take the transportation they offer to you at the time you make the reservation directly with the resort.(remember to mention you are with the BLAKE-CURAVOO wedding when booking your rooms) * Third party bookings won’t offer you the transportation. We HIGHLY recommend having your transportation booked prior to going. It can be overwhelming after clearing customs when you exit with all the different taxis! We use BRX Transportation company (through our direct booking with the resort) when we did our site visit ! They were amazing. You can book them directly through their site if you book third-party.

Passports and Flights

Passports can take up to three months to receive once you apply. You can apply for it at your local Post Office. Your flight into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) : Please be aware that Customs and Immigration can take up to 1 hour to clear depending on the time of day you fly in. This average time starts from the time you get to the first checkpoint. On your flight back home, if you have a connecting flight, you will have to gather your checked bags from the international baggage terminal and recheck your bags for your domestic flight. Make sure your connecting flight back to the states allows for ample time of baggage and transfer to the next domestic gate. PRO TIP: Boston International Airport does offer direct flights via Jet Blue. 4 hour flight time. Downside, Boston Airport is 3.5 hours from Manchester and Rutland, VT. A non-stop flight means once you check your bags at your departure hub you won’t touch them again until you land at your final destination. This also means there is no connection flight. This would be easiest if traveling with children or first time international fliers.
