September 12th. After that, we’ll assume you hate love. Kidding... really just need to know how many marshmallows to order for the bonfire tho.
Please arrive no later than 3:45 PM (fashionably late is not a thing on October 12th). You’re welcome to roll in as early as 3:00. Pro tip: hit the restroom before you come, because ours will be off-limits while the brides are getting fabulous. They’ll reopen after the “I dos.” If you’re early, live your best life: wander the autumn countryside, sign the guest book, crush a round of corn hole, and absolutely document it all and post your fit check hashtag "WhatATripp"
Plenty of parking! When you pull in, head right toward the grass lawn parking area, there will be signs; the venue is right there, too. Whatever you do, don’t go left unless you plan on explaining to the property owner why you’re crashing their living room. We recommend taking an Uber/Lyft or carpooling, especially if you plan to drink.
TL;DR: Cocktail attire in warm, lighter autumn hues--creamy pumpkin, soft marigold, sage, mulberry, buttery neutrals, warm taupes. Skip solid black, white, or red. No jeans or flip-flops (yes, we have to say it 😂). Be you--just your autumn you--so the photos are as stunning as you are. Longer version for those with outfit plan-xiety: Ladies, if you love a good solid black dress (I know I do), make it patterned. We’re not here to stifle anyone’s style! If you love an all-black moment or have a signature look, keep being you! We just ask that you bring your "autumn you" to the party: warm, rich but airy fall tones that still feel seasonal and celebratory. Why the guidelines? We have some very talented photographers, and we want you to love looking back at these photos for years to come. Matching the vibe means the pictures will feel timeless, cohesive, and extra gorgeous--even the candids. If you’re unsure, send us a photo or a quick text. We’d rather answer a “does this work?” than have you second-guess yourself on the big day. We want you to feel great about your outfit and just focus on having fun! Bottom line: dress up, have fun, and wear something that feels like you--just on the softer side of autumn. We can’t wait to see how stunning you all look.
Open bar! Please bring some cash to tip our amazing bartenders, they're good friends and people we know and love and they work hard for the money (cue Donna Summer). There will be two bars: one at the entrance in a cute little bar trailer, and one on the back patio. Cheers to celebrating—please drink responsibly and don’t drive if you imbibe. (Those Cheatham County small-town cops love pulling over us Davidson County city folk.)
Like our bartenders, we wanted this day to feel extra special by surrounding ourselves with people we know and love. For cocktail hour bites and dinner, you’ll be in the hands of the incredible Ryan Bentley—he’s part of the Barrel Proof and Henrietta Red teams, and he’s one of the most creative humans we know. Ryan often does culinary pop-ups (including his “Taqueria Bentley,” where he dreams up fusion, Mexican-inspired gourmet tacos with his own flair). He pours so much love into his food, is crafting together a super special menu for us, and we know you’re going to love it. Helping him in the kitchen are Brandon and Tulio, two of our Barrel Proof fam we adore—and trust us, they can throw down when it comes to cooking. On the music side, our dear friend Lucy Powell will be spinning and MC’ing the night. She’s a local legend (at least in our book) and knows how to keep a dance floor buzzing. We couldn’t imagine anyone better to soundtrack this party.
Colors: Think “sunlit fall” tones--warm, cozy colors with a gentle richness. Not the deep, moody shades of late autumn, and not the pale pastels of spring... somewhere in between. Here are some examples: • Suit or blazer + dress pants — lighter fall tones or soft patterns. • Dress shirt — button-down in a coordinating shade (white shirt is fine if paired with autumn-tone suit/blazer). • Tie or no tie — optional, but a textured tie in a seasonal color looks great. • Dress shoes — oxfords, loafers, or polished boots in brown, tan, or oxblood. • Polish — neat grooming, optional accessories (pocket square, watch).
Colors: Think “sunlit fall” tones--warm, cozy colors with a gentle richness. Not the deep, moody shades of late autumn, and not the pale pastels of spring... somewhere in between. Here are some examples/ideas for inspo: • Knee-to-mid-length dress or even full length — sleek but doesn't have to be formal. • Dressy jumpsuit or matching set — in a soft autumn hue. • Skirt + blouse combo — dressy fabrics like silk, chiffon, or crepe. • Heels, wedges, or dressy flats — boots OK if sleek, not casual. • Accessories — seasonal tones, nothing that screams “summer beach.”
We’re not registered anywhere, your presence truly is the gift! We’re just excited to celebrate with you. If you feel moved to contribute, we do have a small cash fund for future adventures, but absolutely no expectations whatsoever..
