Great stopping off point before you get into Rockaway. Do a quick tour of the Tillamook creamery and get free samples of cheese!
Rockaway Beach Old Growth Nature Preserve
One mile on a boardwalk to see an old growth cedar tree. Worth it!
Multnomah Falls
Check out the famous OR waterfalls - quick drive from Portland and easy access for everyone with great views. Take the Historic Columbia River HWY instead of the interstate.
Mt. Tabor Park
Right in our neighborhood -- a great park with great views of the city skyline!
Pittock Mansion
Quick way to get a great view of Mt Hood and other mountains, very pretty scenery with a lot of trailheads nearby to explore Forest Park area.

A tourist attraction that's worth it - get there early if it's a nice weather day!
McMenamins Kennedy School
One of our fave spots in town - it's an old schoolhouse turned into a hotel with several bars and a hot springs pool! If you are coming into Portland before the weekend, we suggest staying here!

Support our neighbors! This is a very cute bodega/convenience store across the street from us. We love the owner and would love you to support them as well - get your beer, wine, and snack foods here for your roadtrip to Rockaway!

Right across the street from our place - awesome Greek food with the cutest family that runs it. Can't go wrong with the flaming cheese, hummus, gyros, or orzo!

One of the busiest food pods in Portland. Indoor/outdoor seating with a German bar and multiple food carts. We suggest Matt's BBQ - it sells out quick, though!
