Our Story
February 18th 2020
WE MEET: A DJ "Cheat Codes" was playing at Shrine at Foxwoods and Brittney and Alex (Best Man) planned to go with a bunch of their friends. One friend that Alex brought along was George. Brittney and George hit it off immediately chatting about Gossip Girl and their mutual love for electronic dance music (EDM) for a while. After this, Brittney and George went their separate ways never expecting to meet again.

WE MEET AGAIN: As post-pandemic activities resumed, Brittney loved spending her Tuesday nights at Stony Creek trivia with her friends. Alex began inviting George to join them, and Brittney and George were both excited to reconnect. Their friendship quickly grew stronger through these trivia nights and other outings, with George becoming a regular in the group. As they spent more time together, Brittney and George realized how many common interests they shared, leading to plans beyond trivia, like movie nights, concerts, dinners, and more. Over the next year, their friendship continued to deepen, especially as they bonded over their love of music. George also grew close with Brittney’s sister, Brianna (Maid of Honor), and the three of them formed a special connection over their shared passion for EDM. Amongst all the concerts they attended together in their first year (10 shows and 2 festivals!) they built a strong, lasting friendship, forever referring to themselves as "BGB".

WE DATE: After developing such a beautiful, deep friendship, George and Brittney finally admitted to each other that their feelings had grown beyond just friendship. To celebrate this new chapter, George planned a memorable first date. They started with a paint and sip night, where they each painted lighthouses (see above picture) and laughed while sipping on wine. Afterward, they went to do an escape room, an activity they both loved. As the evening came to a close, George gathered up the courage and asked Brittney to be his girlfriend. Her smile was all the confirmation he needed. In that moment, their beautiful relationship officially began, marking the start of a new adventure filled with love, laughter, and beautiful new memories.

WE'RE ROOMATES: After some time, Brittney decided it was the right moment to ask George to officially move into her condo. Excited for this new step in their relationship, she rearranged some of her things to make space for George, fitting in a small dresser and clearing wall space for his soccer posters. As George settled in, he naturally took on the role of the best guinea pig dad to Brittney’s beloved pet, Floyd. Their little family expanded a few months later when they adopted a second guinea pig, Marty. The condo soon became a lively home filled with laughter, love, and the charming antics of their two piggies, marking yet another beautiful chapter in their relationship.

WE'RE ENGAGED: Brittney and George had booked a weekend in NYC to celebrate their 1.5-year anniversary and Valentine’s Day combined. They started the trip with a relaxing spa day, followed by a stunning outdoor lights show at the Queens Botanical Garden. At the garden, George suddenly paused saying he wanted to take a picture. To Brittney's surprise, he got down on one knee, delivering a beautifully prepared heartfelt speech, ending with the question: "Will you marry me?" Overjoyed and in shock, Brittney couldn’t believe what was happening. As they continued down the trail, she gazed at her ring, smiling from ear to ear, filled with excitement and love. To celebrate this moment, they went to a beautiful dinner. At dinner, they searched for concerts happening nearby and discovered one of their favorite artists was playing just down the street from their hotel. Impulsively, they bought tickets and danced the night away, celebrating their engagement, surrounded by the music they loved.
