Look into flights as soon as you're able to! We expect prices to only rise as we get closer. The airport you will want to fly into is Barcelona's only international airport, Aeroport de Barcelona-El Prat (BCN). It is fairly close to city center, about a 15 minute taxi/uber ride (20 euro) or 20-30 minute ride by train (2 euro) Barcelona city center is about 1 hour car ride away from Blanes, where our wedding will be held. Methods to arrive to Blanes include taxi, train, rental car, or shuttle (see below).

If you would like to rent a car, we recommend picking up a car directly at BCN airport with pre-booking on booking.com. You can rent a car for ~$20-30 per day. There are several free and paid parking lots in Blanes where you can park your car. This is good option if you want to go on road trips to the gorgeous little towns in the nearby area! For those renting a car and driving for any portion of your stay in Spain, you need to apply for an International Driver's Permit (IDP) from AAA. Fill out the application and turn it into a local AAA branch prior to your trip. The application can be found here: https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html.

Train from Barcelona to Blanes

Take the train line R2N from BCN Airport to Train Station Barcelona-Clot-Aragó. It will take approx 30 min. Transfer at Train Station Barcelona-Clot-Aragó to train line R1, which will take you to the Blanes Train station. It will take approx 1H 20 min. Rate: single ticket 5 zones 7,35 € Once you arrive at the Blanes train station, you will need to call a taxi to take you to the hotel. To call a taxi, call +34972.35.50.50 / +34972.35.27.20.

If you are taking a taxi within Blanes, the best place to locate one is at the taxi stand at Placa de Catalunya. You can also call +34972.35.50.50 / +34972.35.27.20 to have them come to you. Most taxi drivers speak english and card and cash are both accepted. Please note that since Blanes is a small town, there is a limited number of taxis available!
