Bodo's Bagel Bakery - UVA "Corner"

This is the best bagel you will ever eat. (I don't care if you've been to New York.) If you eat anything in Charlottesville, get this bagel.

Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store

This apple orchard has some of the best views in Charlottesville. While the apples won't be in season in February, this is still a happenin' spot to get a hot apple cider donut, hot apple cider, or hard cider (there's a Bold Rock distillery) anything apple really! You can take a hay ride, do yoga, sit out on the picnic tables, or go hiking! Great for kids too, lots of wholesome activities.

Downtown Mall

The Downtown Mall is a historic outdoor gathering place with a music venue, shops, bars, restaurants, small museums and more! It's a great place to stoll, eat, and people watch. There are often musicians and artisans lining the streets, so bring cash for hackeysacks, pashminas, crystals and more!

The Corner

Even though we know we will be asked 324098 times, no, neither of us attended The University of Virginia. It has an absolutely stunning grounds though, so we encourage you to visit it! Nestled by The Lawn and The Rotunda is "The Corner", a strip of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants.

Farm Bell Kitchen

This is super close to the hotels and has great breakfast! Nice counter to grab coffee, juice, or beignets... (ben-yay!)

Feast! Food

This is near the hotel and is a very yummy lunch spot. Here is the Google description: "Sandwiches, soups & salads, plus upscale groceries & wine sold in a shop built with reclaimed wood." It's accurate. Nice wood.

Citizen Burger Bar

Covering our bases with a burger joint. Roll over to the downtown mall, get a great burger, watch some sportsball, and feed your hangover.

Mas

Excellent tapas in Charlottesville. Hard to get into. Make a reservation the moment you read this.

The Alley Light

Literally a hole-in-the-wall, this "secret" restaurant is tucked away on a side street and has great food + cocktails.

Quirk Hotel Rooftop Bar

Both the lobby bar and the rooftop bar are cool at Quirk. This cute pink hotel is just a block or two down from The Draftsman, and a great place to meet for a drink and a snack.

Charlottesville City Market

Monticello

This seems to be a bucketlist item for people who come to Charlottesville. So visit ol'TJ's home! Then you can get a cider donut afterwards at Carter's Mountain. (Or get a glass of wine at one of the 23498 vineyards nearby... vineyards being undoubtedly TJ's greatest contribution to America.)

King Family Vineyards

Beautiful vineyard near where Brittany grew up in Crozet! Get the Crosé Rose. Check to see if they have horse polo on Sunday!

Veritas Vineyards and Winery

A little far up the mountain, but beautiful views + a great cheese plate!

Blenheim Vineyards

Dave Matthew's vineyard! Closer to Charlottesville than some of the other vineyards.

Blue Mountain Brewery

Amazing beer, even better pizza, and incredible views. Outside of Charlottesville, but totally worth it if you want to have some interesting pizza outside!

Virginia Discovery Museum

If you are bringing your kiddos this is a great place to exhaust them! Some of Brittany's favorite childhood memories were made here. It's also on the Downtown Mall so you can go checkout cool things before/after.
