This will be a black-tie optional wedding. It may be chilly in February and the ceremony will be outside, while we will provide blankets -- we encourage guests to wear winter jackets and prepare to dress warmly.
While we would love to see your children before and after the wedding, the ceremony and reception are adult-only events. There are a number of childcare providers in the Charlottesville area, and several available through Care.com https://www.care.com/babysitters/charlottesville-va.
We will have shuttle buses picking up at The Draftsman Hotel at 3:30pm. The buses will return guests to The Draftsman Hotel in two shifts, the early shift will depart Pippin Hill at 9pm, and then a final bus after the reception concludes.
We want to ensure everyone who attends has a great time, and a safe time. We are asking for all our guests to be vaccinated, boosted, and tested so we can enjoy this time safely and mask-free.
There will be a short ceremony outside, but then the rest of the wedding events and reception will be indoors. We will be providing some blankets for the ceremony, but are encouraging guests to dress warmly, there will be a coat check.
February is a little unpredictable in C-ville. It may snow, or it may be 60 degrees. Make sure to bring something warm.
