I guess the way we met may not be as romantic as most. In fact with our first interaction upon his “hey, how are you”, I didnt say more then a rushed “hey” in his general direction as we both went to bowl simultaneously in the lanes at our local bowling alley. Yes...we met at the imfamous Thunderhead Bowl, known to most of our friends and family in good ol’ Taneytown Maryland. Luckily Tyler didnt take my abrasive dismissal to heart, he continued to persue me. I thank God everyday that he did! He friend requested me on facebook, to which I brushed it off as a coincidence. A week or two passed afterwards and on May 4, 2015 he reached out to me on messenger to chat, the rest is literaly history as cliché as that sounds. God knew exactly what I needed and when I needed it, even when I didnt know or want it myself.
July 4, 2019. We, along with the help of my future in-laws, hosted our first Fourth of July cookout with both of our familys all together. After everyones bellys were full and we were just enjoying everyones company, Tyler pulled me aside. He wanted to have everyone gather in the kitchen and for us to thank them all for coming. Only that isnt at all what he had planned, unbeknownst to me he had a little secret tucked in his pocket. He got down on one knee in front of our whole family and proposed!! It was the pefect ending to an already perfect day.
