We met in February 2017, at the Exeter Township Fire Department. He is a paid guy there, and I was a volunteer. Shawn and I hit it off from the start, we were really good friends for a few months. I always joked around saying he was the type a girl looks to marry. We talked every single day from the first day I got his snapchat. He then went away on a cruise for a week, and that's when I really realized I missed talking to him, at this point I was still hiding my feelings as though I didn't know he liked me. Then June came we still talked every single day all day long, I remember being at the beach with my family and my parents constantly asking who I was talking to because I couldn't stop smiling. Then in July still just friends but he took me on a "date" to Philadelphia for the weekend, for a wedding and then the zoo the next day for my birthday. Then on August 5th 2017 we went too see Nickleback together, that weekend is when I met his parents! On the way home August 6th we stopped at the mall for lunch and he actually bought me a Pandora princess ring and asked me to be his girlfriend! We went on so many fun dates like Baltimore, and Washington that winter. April 2018 I decided to move to Harrisburg to be with him, and is currently where we are at with our pup Blitz. April 2019 came and I was laying in a hospital bed in pain getting ready for emergency surgery, Shawn was by my side. He stayed long nights with me there when he could since he had to work and take care of our dog. I knew at that moment that he was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. It was the most challenging month/ year we had gone through. October 2019 we took our cruise to the Bahamas! October 3rd on Half Moon Cay is where Shawn got down on one knee and proposed! With the most gorgeous ring I ever saw! Now its wedding planning for October 3rd 2020!
