We're getting married!

Who would've thought that an online dating site would introduce us to the person we would spend the rest of our lives with!? Thanks to Hinge, we matched and began exchanging messages until Brittany decided to play hard to get. After a couple of days of radio silence from Brittany, Nick decided to shoot his shot one more time. There was just something special about Brittany that Nick couldn't get out of his head. Thanks to his persistence, the messages continued, the butterflies grew, and after a couple of weeks, we officially met for sushi at a local spot (which we now return to each anniversary).

Around the beginning of 2021, there had definitely been some discussion about the possibility of a proposal and the timing of it. With a big upcoming summer vacation to Utah, involving both of our parents, Brittany became very hopeful about the thought of Nick proposing. Little did she know that Nick and her father, Steve, had a very creative plan up their sleeves that would definitely catch Brittany off guard. In Brittany's mind, the picture-perfect proposal involved a romantic dinner in town with our families, at a restaurant that was very special to us. However, on that morning we had a hike planned, as we always do in Utah (that Brittany thought absolutely nothing of). We all hiked up to a beautiful waterfall with a backpack cooler full of hidden champagne and a diamond ring. As if there weren't enough secrets, we later learned that Steve asked a family friend to discretely hike up to the waterfall and capture the moment with his drone. Standing beneath the waterfall, Nick and Brittany were posing for pictures when he turned to her and got on one knee. It was one of the best surprises and having our families there with us made it even more special. It truly was a moment we will never forget!
