WHERE IS THE WEDDING CEREMONY LOCATED?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktails, and reception will all be held at Shining Tides, in Mattapoisett, MA.

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. Space is very limited at our venue. We hope you understand.

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night off! If you are traveling from out of town, please reach out and we will do our best to help coordinate babysitting.

IS THERE A HOTEL BLOCK?

Answer

Yes, we have negotiated a lower rate for our wedding guests at the Hampton Inn Fairhaven. We also suggest renting a condo or house on airbnb.com or VRBO. See the "Travel & Accommodations" section on this website for more details. Please let us know if you run into any issues booking.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED AT THE VENUE

Answer

Smoking is allowed only in one location. If you need to smoke, please make sure specifically ask of this location as there is a steep fine if anybody is caught smoking in any other part of the property.

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED?

Answer

Transportation will be provided for guests staying at The Hampton Inn New Bedford. A bus will bring guests from Shining Tides to the hotel at 10:30pm. Transportation will also be provided for all guests joining us for the after party at The Quahog Republic Whaler's Tavern. A bus will bring guests from Shining Tides to the after party at 11pm. For guests staying at The Hampton Inn New Bedford, transportation will be provided from The Whaler's Tavern to the hotel at 1:30am. Overnight parking will also be available at Shining Tides, however you must pick up your vehicle by Sunday morning.
