Yes, our wedding will now take place on August 8, 2021. As of now, we have been informed that our wedding will be able to be held at our venue on this date.
As of now, our wedding is a go! Masks are no longer required. However, we encourage unvaccinated guests to wear masks and/or socially distance indoors. Vaccinated guests are welcome to do whatever is most comfortable for them.
The venue should have contacted you to ask if you would like to cancel your reservation or move it to our new date. If you are not sure if your reservation was moved, please feel free to give them a call (see travel section of website). If you have not made a reservation yet, please see the travel section of our website. While we hope there is space for you at our venue, this is no longer guaranteed. However, there are many other accommodation options in the area.
Please RSVP by July 18th, 2021.
We recommend booking your room sooner rather than later. However, the final deadline for booking rooms is one month before the wedding. If rooms sell out prior to this date, we will do our best to get you into our room block, but there is no guarantee. Everyone should be able to get a room on Sunday night for the wedding, which we highly recommend for convenience! If you are looking for alternative accommodations for other nights, please check out our travel page.
If you would like to enjoy the activities the hotel has to offer, you are welcome to arrive a couple of days before the wedding. The brides will be at the hotel by Friday, and we would love to hang out with people that night! We will be having a welcome cocktail hour on Saturday night before the wedding, and we hope you will join us! The wedding will be in the afternoon/evening on Sunday, August 8th 2021 and go into the night. Thus, most people will choose to leave on Monday, August 9th.
Semi-formal--somewhere between formal and casual. Some examples are a cocktail dress, a formal summer sundress, a suit and tie, or a sport coat. We want you to feel great and be comfortable above all else!
Good question! It is extremely important to us to get married outdoors, so we are planning to say "I do" rain or shine! Only the ceremony is outdoors, so we will all have a chance to warm up in the lodge afterwards for the reception. Please be prepared for rainy weather just in case! We are planning to provide rain ponchos to every guest if necessary, but you may appreciate also having an umbrella at the ready! Also, it can get chilly on the mountain, although August should hopefully be nice! If you are wearing a dress, you may want to bring a sweater or a wrap. If we are experiencing strong winds or lightning, we will be moving the wedding indoors.
There are two casual places right on the resort property to eat. The first is called Jack & Ottos Market and offers coffee, bagels, sandwiches, salads, and other casual items. This option would be best for breakfast and lunch. Jack & Ottos also offers a bar with beer and cocktails if you're looking to grab a drink! The other option is the biergarten, open from 11 am - 7 pm (sometimes later!), weather permitting. The biergarten offers salads, burgers, brats, sandwiches, tacos, and of course beer! This would be great for lunch and is also the best option available on site for dinner, but please plan accordingly because it closes as early as 7 pm. In addition, the hotel can help provide you with menus and phone numbers for nearby take-out restaurants that will deliver. You can also drive or take the shuttle to many nearby restaurants, including Milano's for Italian food, Smokey's Brick Oven Tavern, and Pennings Farm Market.
The ceremony will take place on top of a mountain. In order to get there, guests will be riding gondolas to the top. The gondolas are enclosed and you stand inside, so don't worry about wrinkling your formalwear! The gondola floors are grates, so flip flops will be provided to anyone wearing spiky heels. Anyone who needs a chair to sit will be provided with one, and even a wheelchair can be accommodated on the gondola. If you need extra time getting on and off the gondola, please let them know, and they'll slow it down. IMPORTANT: Please allow enough time for the gondola ride! First Gondola Ride at 5:15 pm and last Gondola Ride at 5:45 pm.
