Some love stories are written in a straight line, but ours was always meant to take the scenic route. Lucas and I first met in high school in Mabank, TX—back when life was simple, and love felt like forever. Lucas was my dream then—handsome, kind, and always surrounded by the same friends I called my own. We spent our mornings in the athletic hall, talking, laughing, and soaking up those moments before the school day began. Those mornings made everything feel a little more special, a little more right. But as high school romances often do, we eventually went our separate ways, unsure of what the future had in store. Life took us on different paths. We both grew, loved, learned, and became parents, shaping us into who we are today. In 2022, fate brought us back together, and for a moment, we thought we had finally found our way home. We welcomed our beautiful daughter, Delilah, but uncertainty, outside noise, and life's challenges pulled us apart once again. But what is meant to be will always find a way. In the summer of 2023, after everything we had been through—both together and apart—we found our way back to each other. And this time, we knew. We knew it had always been him. Always been me. Always been us. Ours is a love story of resilience, growth, and destiny. We’ve seen the highs, felt the lows, and work so hard to build the life we always dreamed of. No matter what we’ve faced, our bond has remained unbreakable. Some say we were the right people at the wrong time—but we believe we were simply two hearts waiting for the right moment to begin our forever. Now, that moment is here. 💕 #LoveTheRussells
