How We Met

Brittany and Kevin met on Hinge. Brittany never believed in meeting someone on a dating app, but Kevin was a good communicator over text (Brittany sent novels and Kevin sent novels back!) from the beginning causing Brittany to be curious if this could really work. The afternoon leading up to their first date, Brittany got nervous and decided to call it off and say she was sick. She had to work the next morning and did not want to be up too late. She called her friend Paige who told her to stop being silly and go on the date. Brittany met up with Kevin at the Hammered Lamb and off the bat communication was non-stop and easy. Brittany ordered black bean hummus and later looked into the bathroom mirror and realized she had black beans stuck in her teeth! Kevin never said a word and Brittany, mortified, returned to apologize. Kevin was so cool about it and the two ended up staying and chatting for over 3 hours. Every date from there was easy and comfortable. Kevin and Brittany's love continued to grow and not only did they find love within each other, but they became each other's best friend. The rest was history!

Why Dahlonega?!?

Country roads, take me home....

While Brittany is originally from Georgia, one of Kevin and Brittany's first big trips together was to Atlanta for Colleen and Jake's wedding. After the wedding, they spent a week in the North Georgia mountains. Brittany likes to say this is where the two truly fell in love. After a week of great memories in the mountains, Kevin and Brittany decided to return each year in October to the mountains. For us, North Georgia has a special meaning. We are most relaxed and content here. We knew we wanted to get both sets of families and friends away from normalcy for a weekend, and we thought what better place than the mountains? We hope you all can make a long weekend out of it and enjoy the mountains with us!! We are hoping that everyone who is attending, can attend both events Friday and Saturday and we would also love for everyone to join Thursday as well, if possible! We are reserving all of the weekend events to get a chance to chat and hang out with everyone. That way, our wedding can be a non-stop celebration!!
