Flight Options
No visa required to visit Greece during the time of this trip. There are now daily direct flights DFW to Athens Greece with American Airlines. There are many other flexible options to reach Santorini (JTR). You can take advantage of this by adding a stopover in a major European city. Direct flights from DFW to Europe: • Paris: Book through Transavia France or AirFrance out of ORY to get to JTR. • London: British Airways offer direct flights to JTR. • Amsterdam: Book with Transavia to get to JTR nonstop. • Zurich Switzerland - Edelweiss Air & SWISS Air have direct flights to JTR out of ZRH. • Frankfurt Germany

Villages to Visit or Stay in Santorini:
Oia Very popular and especially crowded at sunset. Known for iconic blue domes, boutique shopping, Ammoudi Bay swimming, and photo ops. Go early (around 7 a.m.) to beat the crowds. Great option if you want postcard views and luxury stays. Travel time to venue: 30 mins. Fira (Thira) Busy during cruise ship hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.), but a central spot with nightlife, shopping, and caldera views. Great for those who want energy and accessibility. May be noisy at night. Travel time to venue: 15 mins. Pyrgos Low crowds, peaceful vibe, and authentic village feel. Explore the Castelli ruins, churches, and charming streets. Visit in the late afternoon for fewer tourists and golden hour views. Travel time to venue: 10 mins. Megalochori Quiet, traditional, and relaxing. Great for slow strolls, wine tasting, and village charm. Beautiful in early evenings and a short drive to the wedding venue. Travel time to venue: 5 mins. Akrotiri Close to the venue with moderate crowds. Known for ancient ruins and Red Beach. Best visited in the morning before it gets hot. Great if you prefer a quieter stay with cultural sites nearby. Travel time to venue: 5 mins. Kamari or Perissa More relaxed beach towns with black sand beaches. Family-friendly with beach bars and sunbeds. Ideal for those wanting a mix of beach and restaurants by the sea. Travel time to venue: 15 mins.
