Having a small & intimate celebration is important to us! We put a lot of intention and thought into creating our guest list. If we are accounting for you to bring a plus-one, it will be indicated on your formal invitation. We hope you understand!
Of course, we hope that you are able to come and are excited to celebrate with you, but we understand that traveling may not be in the cards for all of our loved ones. If you know for sure that you are unable to make the trip, we request that you let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so that we can plan accordingly.
We recommend booking your accommodations as soon as possible. Many hotels & rental properties offer great cancellation policies if you aren't certain that you will be able to join us.
The ceremony will be indoors at Seaside United Church of Christ. The reception will be held at a nearby restaurant with portions of the night spent outdoors. Please plan accordingly. We recommend bringing a coat as Maine evenings can be chilly.
Please come in your best mountain semi-formal attire. We'd love for you to be inspired by the natural beauty of Maine when selecting your outfits. Suits & dresses are preferred, but we want you to dress in a way that feels most comfortable and natural to you. Please keep in mind that Maine weather can be unpredictable.
We are so excited that you'll be joining us, and we want you to relax and be fully present for our ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer who will capture every moment, and we'll make sure you see those photos as soon as we do! With this in mind, we ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony; for the reception? Go wild & feel free to share any great shots that you get!
We invite you to join us to kick off our wedding weekend Thursday night at Beal's Lobster Pier. We'll be drinking local beer, eating delicious Maine cuisine, and casually hanging out. On Saturday evening, we invite you to join us in one last hurrah as we hop around different spots on Main Street in downtown Bar Harbor. Please see the Schedule page for more information.
Our wedding events will not take place within a fee-restricted area. However, if you plan to visit Acadia National Park during your trip, everyone (16 years old and above) needs an entrance pass. You can use either a National Park/Federal Lands pass (including Senior, Access, Annual, and more) or an Acadia-specific pass. There are additional fees for Cadillac Mountain vehicle reservations. Please visit https://www.nps.gov/acad/planyourvisit/fees.htm for more information.
