Brittany and Ellis met in November 2012 in Marietta, OH when Brittany joined her sister on a trip to visit Mike, her sister’s boyfriend (and now husband) who attended PA school with Ellis. They spent the evening playing Minute-To-Win-It games (led by Ellis) with Ellis’s PA school friends and celebrating the Thanksgiving break. The two would meet again in the spring of 2013, the last day of Ellis's first year of PA school. Brittany once again made the trek out to Marietta with Kelsey to help move Mike home from Ohio. Over the weekend, Brittany, Ellis, Kelsey, Mike and some of Ellis's other PA school friends celebrated the end of a successful first year of PA school. One of the most memorable moments of the weekend for Ellis is Brittany lecturing him on the evolution of infectious diseases (her favorite course at UofL that semester)—she’s such a charmer. The two went their separate ways after that, but their story was just getting started!

November 2012 - Brittany and Ellis meet in Marietta, OH. May 2013 - Ellis celebrates the end of his 1st year of PA School and Brittany is there to celebrate with him. New Year's Eve 2013/Jan 1, 2014 - Brittany and Ellis have their first date at a coffee shop in Belleville and, later, their first kiss at midnight at Global Brew in O'Fallon. The two continued on their own separate paths after that evening as Brittany declares that she is "fine on her own". 2014 - 2016 - Ellis moves to St. Louis and remains good friends with Mike and Kelsey. Brittany and Ellis hang out as friends whenever Brittany comes back from Louisville to visit family. June 12, 2016 - Brittany declares to Ellis that she is actually not "fine on her own" and the two officially start dating. December 14, 2018 - Ellis moves to Louisville. December 29, 2020 - Ellis and Brittany get a dog and name her Gilly. May 8, 2021 - Ellis proposes in Forest Park in St. Louis (and Brittany says YES!).
