Britt and Andrew's story began when Curry, Andrew's cousin and Britt's good friend, set the two of them up on a blind date in early 2020. (No comment on why Curry took 10 years of knowing Britt to put them in touch.) Andrew, hoping to impress but having no idea what he was getting himself into, suggested they go to the Carlyle Hotel on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for a drink at the bar. True to form, Andrew showed up 20 minutes early wearing running sneakers, and Britt showed up 45 minutes late (which was OK, as she had told him that she would be 30 minutes late) dressed to impress. Needless to say, Andrew was more than impressed, so much so that he asked her on a second date before the first date had even finished (the martinis are quite good at the Carlyle, which may have been a factor), and they spent a fantastic evening enjoying each other's conversation and company. They've been inseparable ever since. From spending the ups and downs of the pandemic quarantining in Groton Long Point, CT and at various points up and down the East Coast (thank you to our parents!), traveling to ski with friends and family, and, finally moving into New York City in spring of 2021, Britt and Andrew's love and commitment to one another has only grown stronger with time. It was clear to Andrew that Britt was the one, and, on November 6th, 2021, when Andrew proposed to Britt in Central Park, it was clear that she felt the same way. They cannot wait to get married this fall and are so excited for you to be a part of their celebration!
