Getting to Roatán, Honduras: 1. Fly Straight to the Island (RTB): This is the easiest and most stress-free option. Several major airlines fly directly to Roatán, often with one or two quick stops along the way. You’ll land right on the island and be just minutes (about 35 min) from the resort. Fly to the Mainland + Hop Over to Roatán: Looking to save a little on flights? You can fly into mainland Honduras (San Pedro Sula, La Ceiba or Tegucigalpa), then catch a short local flight (or ferry from La Ceiba) to the island (we only recommend this route if you’re traveling with someone who speaks Spanish or you feel comfortable navigating it on your own, as things can get a little tricky at the smaller airports).
