Things To Do

Downtown Hickory

Hickory, NC

There's plenty to do in Downtown Hickory, a walkable town full of shops, restaurants, and bars. Start your day at Taste Full Beans or The Frothy Rooster. If you're still hungry, check out Olde Hickory Station, Olde Hickory Tap Room (for all our bourbon lovers), or Cranford Brother's Barbecue. For a drink, Olde Hickory Brewing, City Walk Brewing & Distillery, Hickory Wine Shoppe, and Dive Bar are great. If you feel like venturing out a bit though consider stopping by some of our favorite places below.

South Mountains State Park

3001 South Mountain Park, Connelly Springs, NC 28612

If you're looking for nearby hikes, South Mountains State Park, where you'll find several trails and beautiful waterfalls, is about 45 minutes from the venue.

U.S. National Whitewater Center

5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28214

The Whitewater Center is a unique spot that's definitely worth checking out on your trip. With miles of walking and mountain bike trails, rope courses, zip-lining, yoga, whitewater rafting, flatwater kayaking and paddleboarding, live music, and food and drinks, you certainly won't be bored.

Sleepy Poet Antique Mall

6424 South Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28217

Our favorite place to find unique treasures and records - be careful or you'll get sucked in for hours.

Brewers At 4001 Yancey

4001-A Yancey Road, Charlotte, NC 28217

One of our favorite places for a beer and a snack.

Common Market SouthEnd

235 West Tremont Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28203

A local favorite for working with a coffee or playing games with a beer.

Yamazaru Sushi & Sake

2173 Hawkins Street, Charlotte, NC 28203

A sushi staple for us!

NoDa Neighborhood

Charlotte, NC

NoDa is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Charlotte with plenty to do. Walk around and explore murals, shops, bars, restaurants - there's something for everyone. Some of our favorite spots are Heist Brewery, The Goodyear House, Jack Beagles, Billy Jack's Shack, Old News Vintage, and Neighborhood Theater.

Asheville

Asheville, NC

About an hour and 15 minutes from our venue, if you have a few hours to spare seeing the mountains in the fall makes it worth the drive. One of our favorite places for a quick getaway, surround yourself in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains to walk around shops, restaurants, bars, and breweries. Some of our favorite stops include the River Arts District where you'll find a variety of artists and their studios, Buxton Hall (barbeque), Zambra (tapas), Ukiah (Japanese), 5 Walnut Wine Bar, Burial Beer Co. (brewery), Top of the Monk (bar), and the Grove Arcade (shopping). If you prefer a smaller mountain town, Black Mountain and Blowing Rock are a few other favorites that are about an hour from the venue as well.
