Father of the Groom
Ignacio Ramos is Emmanuel's father and mentor. Born in Michoacán, Mexico to Jose and Vitalina Ramos, Ignacio enjoyed the unspoiled natural beauty that is Mexico. Here, he cultivated the characteristics and values that he would later impress upon his children. Values such as family, religion, and a respect for all things natural would help him live out the American Dream. Undeterred by his humble upbringings and limited knowledge of the English language, he braved the long journey North to make his fortune in America. Despite having the odds stacked against him, he endured austere weather, hostile environments and being captured and deported more than once, he was able to make it to the land of opportunity with only a few pesos in his pocket. Being a man of resiliency, he was able to take responsibility of his future and worked multiple physically demanding jobs as a field worker. While employed as a farm hand in Outlook, WA, he met Maria A. Zesati, whose family resided in a neighboring bunk house. Theirs is a love story that would fill many chapters in a thick book, so for the sake of brevity it's best stated the two put their faith in each other and have raised 12 beautiful and successful children who are carry the same values and traditions impressed upon them by their parents. Their story serves as a shining example for Bristol and Emmanuel.

The Zesati’s settled in the Yakima Valley where she soon met her future husband Ignacio Ramos. Theirs was a love story that would rival that of Romeo and Juliet, as the two house holds had a rocky history between them. Undeterred by the obstacles, the two were soon married with the permission of Maria’s father. Since then, Maria and Ignacio settled in the Yakima Valley and raised 12 children. Together they instilled in them the same spiritual and cultural values representative of their respective regional areas. Maria has served as a spiritual guide to Emmanuel, as well as his external moral compass during trying times. Emmanuel and Bristol both look forward to the advice and wisdom she has to offer as they embark on their life long journey. I love you mama.
