Wedding Party

It takes a village and this is ours. These are the people who have cheered us on, picked us up, kept us laughing, and reminded us who we are every step of the way. From late-night talks to early morning coffee runs, from heartbreaks to belly laughs, they’ve been there for it all. We’re so lucky to have them standing beside us as we say “I do.”

David Youngblood

Officiant

As my father, David made it his priority to raise his sons the right way. He taught us that nothing is free in life, that if you want something you have to work for it. He also taught us that life can be unfair sometimes, and when it feels like it has you in a chokehold, we have a heavenly father who has a perfect plan for each and every one of us. The most important lesson he taught us is to stick together as family, which is a lesson that will never depart from me so long as I breathe. I take pride in the attributes of my father that I can recognize in myself like his soft spoken-ness and patience. I love my father and couldn't be more honored to have him officiate my wedding. I met David shortly after J and I started dating - we went to church with his parents and after got brunch. I remember it feeling so natural, like I was conversing with my own family. I truly felt at peace and didn't have too many anxious butterflies as one does meeting your significant others parents for the first time. I lost my dad at a pretty young age and always felt this void in my heart and soul where my father should have filled it. When I met David I knew he was the type of guy with a hard exterior (similar to my father), but where David doesn't waiver is his love for Christ and his love for his family. He instantly took me in as one of his own and slowly but surely filed that void I had been missing for so long. I am beyond honored to stand in front of God and David as he marries us.

Zachary Youngblood

Best Man

I met Zach moments after I came into this world. As my only older brother, he has served as a built in mentor, friend, competitor, confidant and so much more. He's been there to celebrate my biggest successes and pick me up after my greatest failures. It seemed like yesterday when I stood beside Zach during his wedding, so having him do the same for me means so much. I love my big brother and know he will make an amazing father to my future nephew (who will call me Funkle Jared).

Alyssa Dalluhn

Maid of Honor

I met Alyssa during one of the hardest seasons of my life, right after my dad passed away. I didn’t just want a friend, I needed one. And for some reason, I decided it had to be her. So, in true me fashion, I forced it. Junior year of high school, I signed up to manage the softball team just to spend more time with her. I even made her drive me to an early morning practice once, and from there, the rest is history. She didn’t know it then, but she was exactly what my heart needed. And somehow, through all the years, moves, chaos, matching tattoos (not joking), and life changes, she’s still stuck with me, since 2014 and forever.

Dylan Youngblood

Best Man

I met Dylan moments after he came into this world. Growing up, I had the honor of sharing a bedroom with Dylan until I entered middle school. There were many memorable nights involving sneaking into the game room to watch TV (late night snacks included), and that one night I fell off the top bunk into a pile of action figures. One of Dylan's most admirable traits is his confidence. As someone who is naturally more introverted, I've always considered him the yin to my yang. Dylan always lights up a room and has the ability to make you belly laugh about the stupidest things. He pushes me to be a better man and I'm honored to have him as one of my best men!

Rachel Bany

Maid of Honor

I met Rachel during my sophomore year of college when she decided to join Alpha Gamma Delta, the sorority I had joined the year before. From the start, she was my quiet, soft-spoken friend who needed a little nudge out of her bubble… and luckily, I’ve never been one to resist a good push. Over time, she let me in, and I quickly learned that beneath her shy smile was the most loyal, thoughtful, and grounding friend I could ever ask for. While I may have pulled her out of her shell, she’s the one who keeps me grounded. In the moments I’m spinning a little too fast, Rachel is the calm voice that brings me back to earth. She balances me in all the best ways, and I’m forever grateful college gave me more than a degree, it gave me her.

Cade Youngblood

Best Man

If you've been following this far, I also met Cade moments after he came into this world. As the youngest brother, Cade got picked on a lot by his three older brothers. There were no free wins in Wii Sports or on the basketball court. Although I'll always call him my baby brother, seeing him grow up has been so special. I think Proverbs 27:17 (iron sharpens iron) shows how all the big brother tough lessons have helped shape him into the sharp and well rounded young man he is today. I'm proud to call Cade my brother and honored to have him as one of my best men!

Claire Hennum

Bridesmaid

I met Claire through Alpha Gamma Delta, but it didn’t take long for us to realize we had more than Greek letters in common, we also shared a lot of science classes and a matching kind of “crazy” that made us instant soulmates. Whether we were cramming for exams or spontaneously saying yes to whatever wild idea came next (for example I convinced her to move to Florida and live with me), Claire was always down. No questions asked, just “Let’s do it.” She’s the kind of friend who meets your energy, embraces your chaos, and makes even the most ordinary days unforgettable. Life is just more fun with Claire in it, and I wouldn’t have survived college and Daytona Beach (or half the things we got ourselves into) without her by my side.

Jackson Wildman

Groomsman

I met Jackson in the first grade at Will Rogers Elementary School. Through countless sleepovers and hangouts, our friendship blossomed into something that has withstood the test of time. Jackson even moved to Tulsa during high school, and although he moved back a year later, this time away didn't diminish our deep friendship. I've always admired Jackson's gentle presence, contagious laughter, and cunning problem solving skills. I know Jackson will always be there for me and I'm blessed to call him my friend.

Sadie Ellefson

Bridesmaid

I met Sadie through Alpha Gamma Delta, and she quickly became my big, but more importantly, my partner in all kinds of adventures. She was always down for whatever, whenever. Whether we were hitting the books for study sessions, dancing on frat tables, or sneaking snacks into movie theaters, Sadie was there with a smile and a “let’s do it” attitude. One of my favorite memories is how she’d even bring homemade banana bread to bars and Mug Night. She’s been a constant source of fun, support, and unexpected kindness, and I’m so grateful to call her not just my big, but my lifelong friend.

Jarrett Mitchener

Groomsman

I met Jarrett through Jackson back in high school. The three of us shared several classes together, and over time, we discovered just how much we had in common. It didn’t take long for us to become fast friends. Jarrett is the kind of person that will suggest the most obscure yet hilarious movies from the 1980s, or a party game that will have everyone dying of laughter. His sharp wit and spunky personality make him a joy to be around.

Shannon Riley

Bridesmaid

My spunky little cousin Shannon has been one of the most special people in my life since the day she was born. I was completely obsessed with her from the very beginning, treating her like my own baby and proudly showing her off to anyone who would listen. As we grew up, that early bond only deepened. It’s always been me and her, sharing secrets, endless laughs, and the kind of inside jokes that only we understand. She’s been my sidekick, my little mini me, and truly more like a sister than a cousin. Shannon has the biggest heart and a personality that lights up every room she walks into. She’s spunky, funny, and full of life, and she has a way of making even the simplest moments feel special. Watching her grow into the amazing woman she is today has been such a joy and a privilege. I can’t imagine saying “I do” without her standing beside me, cheering me on and probably making me laugh right before I walk down the aisle. Having her as my bridesmaid feels like having a piece of my childhood and my heart right there with me on one of the most important days of my life.

Rachel Jones

Bridesmaid

I met Rachel through work, and she was actually my very first friend in Oklahoma, mostly because we got paid to be by our jobs! From those early days, our friendship quickly grew beyond the office walls. We bonded over a shared love of thrifting and shopping sprees, turning ordinary days into fun adventures. Rachel has been such a steady and joyful presence ever since, someone who makes a new place feel like home and every thrift trip feel like a treasure hunt. I’m so lucky to have found a friend who gets me, both at work and in life.

Sam Marcear

Groomsman

I met Sam during my first week in college at Oklahoma State. We both rushed FarmHouse, and my first memory of Sam was him being carried off to the hospital after passing out (diabetes amiright?). Little did I know in that moment I had met my best friend from college. We took many classes together in our underclassmen years (before Sam dropped engineering for business because it was too hard) and in those study sessions our bond deepened as we tried to figure out how the heck you're supposed to do a triple integral. Sam has a kind energy about him, and will light up like a Christmas tree when you mention something he has the slightest interest in. He's stuck by my side through good and bad, which is more than I could ask for from a (frat) brother!

Becca Cabrera

Bridesmaid

I met Becca when we both lived at the same apartment complex in Florida. Our dogs, Tuna and Biscuit, quickly became best friends, and honestly, so did we. From there, it was Taco Tuesdays, mules and pizza at the local tiki bar, and even talks about getting matching tattoos (we were this close!). Becca and her husband Sam were there through a lot for me, and yes, me happily third-wheeling their dates. Especially New Year’s Eve when I cried in the back of a Lyft (I called it an Uber and yes, the driver quickly corrected me while I was bawling my eyes out). They’ve been some of the most important people in my life, and I’m so grateful for every memory, and every mule, we’ve shared. We have even added a little bestie to our group, Becca's daughter, Callie who we can’t wait to have as our flower girl.

Kenny Gibson

Groomsman

I also met Kenny through rushing FarmHouse at Oklahoma State. We fell quickly into friendship through Freshman Follies and long study nights during pledgeship. Although we had only known each other for months, the sense of trust and camaraderie we shared made it seem like we've been friends for much longer. Although he's built like a linebacker, I've had the honor of seeing Kenny's softer side through very deep and meaningful conversations. Kenny is a very well rounded man that I'm grateful to call him a brother!

Madelyn Youngblood

Bridesmaid

I first met Madelyn, Jared’s brother Dylan’s wife, in the most magical setting, at the play Wicked. They happened to be sitting right behind us, and I remember feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Partly because we were way up high in the theater (definitely not a fan of heights!), but mostly because it was the very first time I was meeting Jared’s family. We instantly clicked, like old friends who had somehow found each other in a sea of strangers. There was this effortless warmth and kindness between us that made the evening feel even more special. I’m beyond thrilled to soon become her sister-in-law, sharing not just family ties but the same last name, something that already feels like the start of an incredible bond. I can’t wait to make countless memories together, laugh until our cheeks hurt, and celebrate all the beautiful moments that lie ahead. Having Madelyn in my life already feels like the biggest gift, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful (almost) sister and friend she’s become. (Shes also a great gaslighter if you need her to lie to anyone for you, she did a great job hiding Jared’s plans of engagement from me, I’m so grateful to have spent the last few minutes before getting engaged with her praying about J’s and I future).

Cory Bivens

Groomsman

Cory is one of three friends (Sam and Kenny) who grew up together in Amarillo. Had they not decided to all rush FarmHouse, then I couldn't imagine my college experience being as memorable as it was. Rounding out the trio, Cory and I share a connection unlike the others due to how similar we are in our mannerisms, which makes our sense of brotherhood even stronger. Although we can both be introverted, all it takes is for someone to mention Dune and we're the most talkative people in the room. Cory's competitive spirit always makes even the simplest games more enjoyable, even if it means watching him throw a fit for losing in cornhole. Cory is a joy to be around and I love being an honorary Amarillan!

Shelby Youngblood

Bridesmaid

I first met Shelby at the Wicked play, completely unaware that I was meeting someone who would one day be part of my family. Since that night, we’ve shared holidays, family gatherings, and special milestones together, but one of the moments I’ll always treasure is the role she played in our engagement. Shelby was there, camcorder in hand, capturing the entire proposal so we can relive it for the rest of our lives. I’ll be forever grateful for those memories. Shelby is sweet and kind, but she’s also fiercely competitive at any game you put in front of her, which always makes family time lively. I truly admire her strong personality and how she knows exactly what she wants in life. She brings her own spark and authenticity to every occasion, and I’m thankful she’ll be standing with us on such an important day. I’m so excited to soon share her last name and to make all the memories ahead as family. Weddings aren’t just about joining two people, they’re about bringing families together. I’m looking forward to all the new memories we’ll create in the years to come especially as Jared and I become Funkle Jared and Auntie Em to our little nephew Everett, aka Vert.

Callie Cabrera

Flower Girl

Callie came into my life as the sweetest built-in bestie — Becca’s daughter and now our very own flower girl! She already lights up every room she walks into with that tiny, unstoppable energy and the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. From the moment we met, it felt like a special little bond was already forming — like she just knew she was part of our family’s story. Watching her grow and now having her by our side on the biggest day is such a joy. Callie might be small, but her heart is huge, and I can’t wait for all the giggles, twirls, and flower petals she’ll bring as she leads the way down the aisle. She’s a little bundle of pure happiness, and I’m beyond lucky to call her our flower girl!

Everett Youngblood

Ring Bearer

Everett came into our lives as the sweetest little blessing, our precious nephew and now the most handsome ring bearer we could ask for! He has the happiest grin and a way of making every moment feel lighter just by being in it. From the very beginning, he’s held such a special place in our hearts. Watching him grow and getting to love him in every new stage has been one of our greatest joys. Having him apart of our wedding day makes it all the more meaningful. Everett may be little, but the love we have for him is bigger than words!
