Flight
Flying into Rome or Naples If you fly into Rome or Naples, you can drive to Fasano in 5hrs or 3.5hrs, respectively. It's a beautiful drive and it will fly by. Be sure to stop by Matera—an incredible historic city (made all the more famous by No Time to Die). If you'd rather not rent a car, you can take a train from either city to Bari. Flying into Bari or Brindisi Bari and Brindisi are the two largest cities in the region. Both regional airports are a 45-minute drive to Fasano. You will not be able to fly there directly, but you will be able to find affordable flights/layovers from most major European hubs. This includes London, Barcelona, Paris, and Rome. We suggest doing this option if you plan to get there right in time for the wedding.
Rental Car
Regardless of how you decide to get to Puglia, we recommend having a rental car. This will make it much easier to explore all of the beaches, grottos, and nearby towns. We will be organizing some transportation, but having your own vehicle is by far the best way to get around the region.
Train
Trains are a splendid way to see the Italian countryside and leisurely make your way to Fasano. Overall, Bari seems to have the most options for trains while other small cities in Puglia such as Brindisi, Lecce, and Fasano may have more intermittent service. Rome > Bari The High Speed Rail between Rome and Bari is 4 hours and 42 minutes, and will arrive at Bari Centrale Station. Trenitalia, the rail service, has a direct, high-speed Frecce line connecting Puglia's larger cities.
