Things To Do in Easton

The Wedding Website of Sophie Bright and Sam Conchuratt
Easton, MD has a cute, small downtown which is walkable from the Tidewater Inn. We highly recommend the list of places below -- some of which we've enjoyed ourselves, or come highly recommended by family and friends! If you have more time to kill and want to explore other nearby towns, we encourage you to drive to the bay at Oxford or St. Michaels, MD. Each are ~15 minutes (driving) from Easton. If you're looking to extend your trip to the greater DMV or Delaware shore area, we'd also highly recommend spending some time in DC (of course!), Bethany Beach or Assateague National Seashore. All are within ~1 hour drive from Easton. Do NOT hesitate to reach out to Sam or Sophie for more specific suggestions to make the most of your time!

Academy Art Museum

106 South Street, Easton, MD 21601

We've visited this art museum and highly recommend! The following exhibits should be in rotation during this June weekend. KIN: Rooted in Hope Featuring poetry and portraits, KIN reconstructs the Weatherfords’ ancestry across centuries: it moves from the American Revolution to the Maryland plantation where Frederick Douglass was enslaved, to Civil War battlefields, and the founding of all-Black Reconstruction-era villages. Richard Estes: Urban Landscapes Featuring twenty-five works by the preeminent Photorealist painter and printmaker Richard Estes, this exhibition showcases the artist’s ongoing fascination with the reflective surfaces of the modern city. Fields, Voids, and Translations: Works on Paper and Textiles by Piper Shepard A Baltimore-based artist creates architecturally-scaled works, weavings, and works on paper inspired by the familiar yet complex patterns involved in cutwork, lace, and botanical imagery.
