FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal attire. Although, due to the Florida temperatures, we do want our guests to be comfortable. Jackets are not necessary for men, and sleeveless dresses are fine for women. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! (https://www.thespruce.com/semi-formal-attire-guidelines-1216504)

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive at least a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Where should I park since the venue is downtown?

Answer

The Vinoy offers two paid parking options - valet or self park. Alternatively, the closest parking garage is located at 255 1st St N, with another located at 117 2nd St N by the Sundial, both of which are about 10-12 minute walk. There are also limited metered street parking spots, which if you're lucky enough to snag on a Saturday evening, you can download the ParkMobile app and pay remotely via your phone. This way you don't have to run back to feed the meter all night! Please make sure to factor in time to park so you arrive on time, and if you don't want to stress it you can always Uber or Lyft!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your kiddos, to give our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.

Question

Will the ceremony/reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors, with the reception being held under a tent on grass. Please plan your shoes accordingly -- heels might not be the best option! :)

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The average temperature on May 16th in St. Petersburg is a high of 87° and a low of 71°.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes & No. For our ceremony, we would like you to be present and in the moment with us. For this reason, we ask that you let our photographer capture these moments for us personally. For our reception, however, absolutely YES! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #BridgetWillsYouMarryMe so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
