Question

"Mountain" Camp?

Answer

Deer Creek Camp is at 9,000+ feet above sea level, and we're so excited to give everyone a taste of CO mountain living. However, for those adjusting to altitude, please be mindful! Bring a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes for walking around. Alcohol has a much stronger effect at altitude, so pace yourselves so you can party all weekend!

Question

How accessible is Deer Creek Mountain Camp?

Answer

Very! The parking lot is directly off a paved road and sits at the same elevation as the majority of the lodges. It has ADA cabins for those with mobility or access needs. There are slight inclines as you traverse the paths between buildings, but everything is well lit and has handrails. Please be prepared to walk through a variety of terrains - grass, gravel, and pavement.

Question

Can I bring a 'plus one'? What about my kids?

Answer

We are so fortunate to have so many friends and family members that want to celebrate with us, but due to the limited capacity of our venue we are unable to accommodate any plus ones that are not listed on your invitation. While we love your children, this is an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Wait - so how does lodging work?

Answer

This is an atypical arrangement, so we understand it's confusing. Here's the deal - we rented a whole camp! There's room for 100+ people to sleep at Deer Creek Mountain Camp. If you choose to stay with us on-site, lodging assignments will be based on your RSVP. Lodging assignments and payment amounts will be sent to you in August of 2026 by Bridgette and John. In order to know which cabin each guest will be staying in, we need to see how many people in total are staying on-site to ensure that we do the logistics accurately. At this point, if you want to stay on-site, you do NOT have to book any accommodations, you don't have to reach out to the venue, and you do not have to pay anything in this moment. Once we get back your RSVP, Bridgette and John will get in touch with you to arrange lodging! You do not have to stay at the venue but ideally we'd love for you to! This is why we loved Deer Creek Mountain Camp so much. We love the thought of all of our people, staying in one place, for the whole weekend!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors. Dinner will be mostly indoors, aside from getting your pizza outside from the amazing Mountain Crust Pizza trucks! Dancing will be held indoors with patio access.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Your guess is truly as good as ours — Colorado weather is extremely unpredictable, especially in the mountains. Hopefully it'll be in the 60s and sunny! Please be sure to check the weather forecasts for Bailey, Colorado as we get closer to the date!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Friday - Welcome Party: Cute but more informal! Dressy casual attire. Sun dresses, slacks, button ups. Saturday - Ceremony & Reception: Dress up with us! Cocktail attire. Suits with or without jackets or ties, dresses, jumpsuits. Please note the terrain is hilly and has many gravel paths so keep that in mind while selecting footwear.

Question

Will there be food!?

Answer

Yes! We will have a taco truck on Friday night's welcome party, a pancake breakfast on Saturday, and Mountain Crust Pizza Saturday night! Each on-site lodging option has a grill and mini-fridge, so feel free to pick up and bring some snacks and drinks to have in your space for lunch and snacks.

Question

What about drinks?

Answer

Yes! We'll have different alcoholic and non-alcoholic options on Friday night for the welcome party as well as a fully stocked open-bar on Saturday. You are also welcome to stock your cabins with whatever you want to drink!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

We believe the following items are helpful when adjusting to the altitude and weather in Colorado. - Reusable water bottle - Chapstick - Sunscreen - Electrolytes - Ibuprofen - Hand lotion - Medium Jacket (temperatures are expected to be in the 30-60s)
