Pike Place Market is a Seattle staple for a reason, and it's very close to downtown! We recommend stopping for coffee at Ghost Alley or the chowder sampler at Pike Place Chowder. (You can go ahead and skip the first Starbucks - you'll wait for an hour for the same drink you can get anywhere!)
This is where it ALL started! Bee left her number for Jason on a receipt 5 years ago and now we're getting married! This place is small but it's very special to us both.
This is where Jason and I went for our first date. It's a wonderful place to sit and watch the seaplanes take off from South Lake Union while enjoying a 6-pack from Fremont Brewing. If you catch Seattle during good weather days (we have a lot of them in September!) and you want to spend some low-key time outside, Gasworks is a great place to start!
For *hands down* the best dive in the Seattle area, you absolutely must visit Loretta's Northwesterner. Located south of the city in South Park, this is where us south-Sounders go for a beer and a bite. Don't overthink it - go with the Tavern Burger, they simply can't be beat!
We LOVE Latta Cellars - their wine is top-notch and the folks that work there are some of the best. Latta's tasting room is located in the SoDo neighborhood - not far from our venue! This place is great for a relaxed afternoon out and is located in an area that is home of many other tasting rooms (you have to check out Rotie Tasting Room as well), the San Juan Seltzery and a spot to grab some pizza as well!
Volunteer Park is an absolutely stunning park located in Capitol Hill - smack dab in the middle of Seattle. It's a great place to sit out and soak up some sun, and the conservatory is beautiful as well! For those staying in downtown, Volunteer Park is easy to access and a great place to start or end a day of meandering through Capitol Hill!
