In 2016, from Hawaii to Boston (and 5,027 miles in between,) Bridget and Dan's relationship blossomed over a mutual love of Volkswagen's. Connecting through a happenstance meeting at a Volkswagen show in Ocean City Maryland, and through a best mutual friend (and very enthusiastic Volkswagen group,) Dan and Bridget communicated mutual feelings from afar, until they met in Hawaii--where their long distance relationship would begin. After all, from the matchmaking prowess of Jesse Elmes, to the consistent hinting from Volkshore--there was no way that these two, wouldn't hit it off. They closed the distance in California, where they would adopt Darth Pizza, and where their relationship would blossom. When Dan asked Bridget to marry him two years later, with a ring in the shape of a Volkswagen key (Dan's Scirocco to be exact)--she had no doubt in her mind, that this was the man she wanted to spend her life with. Finally, the Navy thought it would be in Dan and Bridget's best interest to live closer to home for a spell. Dan and Bridget moved to CT and purchased the "Volkswagen Cabin," a home where they anticipate spending the rest of their lives in when Dan retires--looking forward to sharing new adventures along the way. In their six years together as a couple, Dan and Bridget have built a mutual love for making each other laugh, wrenching on cars together in the garage, and enjoying time with their wonderful friends (both near and far.) They have always held a steadfast love and devotion for each other--that no stormy weather, distance, pandemic, swarm of 30,000 cyclists, or hardship--could ever sink.
