We highly encourage all of our guests to stop by Pike Place Market while they're in town- it's famous for a reason! While you're there, check out the brand new Overlook Walk that takes you right to the waterfront.
Okay, August might not be the best month for oysters, but if you're brave (like us) Taylor Shellfish has the best ones in the PNW. Farmed right in Puget Sound, our go-to order is a dozen Fat Bastards, paired with fresh bread and olives.
If Bridget could have her way, we would be here every Sunday. Even if you aren't staying until 8/23, we still recommend taking a walk along Ballard Ave- there are so many great stores and restaurants!
A must-try if you love brunch as much as us! Andy orders the french toast; Bridget gets the biscuit and eggs. Phenomenal, but be sure to make reservations in advance.
You can skip the OG Starbucks- this is our favorite coffee in Seattle.
If you're looking to get out of the city, taking a ride on the Seattle Ferry to Bainbridge Island is our favorite day trip. We love to bring our truck on to go explore the tide pools at Rockaway Beach!
We ate this ramen for dinner on the floor of our first apartment our first night in Seattle, and it's still one of our favorites.
Discovery Park Loop is one of our favorite city trails to catch amazing views of Puget Sound. It's also where Andy tried to get Bridget into running- it didn't quite work!
August is the perfect season to view the salmon migrating east into Washington. The Salmon Ladder, located under the Ballard Locks, has windows so you can view the salmon passing through.
This is our favorite rooftop bar. Go on a clear day for amazing views of both the Olympic and Cascade mountains.
Making your trip to the PNW a little bit longer? We've listed our absolute favorite hikes and sightseeing below: Mount Rainier National Park: Mt Fremont Lookout Trail (difficult), Skyline Trail (beginner) Olympic National Park: Lake Crescent, Hoh Rainforest, La Push Beach Mount Baker National Forest: Artist's Point Trail (beginner)
